A T'skrang Swordmaster, about to hit you with a mean one-liner. It's a purely digital piece, but I went for a look that could have been accomplished with traditional ink too. I got inspired to emulate the hatching used by Jeff Laubenstein in his iconic artwork and I really like the result! Although my wrist wants to have a word.
As a bonus there's a close-up of the head because I really like it and a version without shading.

Meet Ludovicus deCrowe, the child of eternal darkness emo Nethermancer NPC from our latest Earthdawn session, brilliantly played by my friend @nekromantenhase. We loved his mysterious brilliance pretentious incapability so much that he is bound to become a reocurring NPC. Earthdawn and T'Skrang race (c) FASA Games, Art (c) me.
I dusted off an old Earthdawn character for a game later today and wanted to re-draw him.
Meet T'althak, a t'skrang elementalist and professional show-off.
Based on a comment by line developer Josh on the Earthdawn Survival Guide podcast, T’Skrang are mostly based on dinosaurs, with varying phenotypes. So I drew some based on various dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Deinonychus and Parasaurolophus. I really like them! I also tried some new things with these.
Ludovicus de Crow! A Nethermancer with a lot of bravado and little actual effort behind it. As you can see, he is VERY dark, goth and true. He is followed by a cloud of patchouli. I have to thank my Earthdawn-Roleplaying group for this illustration, since I played him for a short while even though he was supposed to be an NPC and had a lot of fun.
By the way, @comic-ray is a fellow player and fellow comic artist with great stuff on his blog and on his deviantart regarding the Legend of Zelda, The Elder Scrolls, Pokemon and many more!
