Post-secondary theatre company??
I have this thought brewing in my head to start a musical theatre company in TORONTO for post-secondary students from any school to be able to put on a musical. If you are in Toronto, thoughts?
The Raptors...
Have this tendency, actually...they have a couple of tendencies, they get behind in games, they try to play catch up, they play down to the level of their opponents when they aren’t as good as them, but I think the one that makes me the angriest because I know what they’re capable of is their tendency to shrink when facing a great opponent.
When the Raptors go against someone, mostly a specific player they simply fade away like they aren’t worth anything anymore, like they didn’t work their asses off to get to where they are. You saw it with Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce, and now Lebron. I’ve seen the Raptors persevere and overcome opponents like Chris Paul, Paul George Giannis Antetokounmpo. But for some reason there seems to be certain guys they go against and it’s like they’re a little kid playing their big brother in a pick up guy back in grade school and he’s just pushing them around doing whatever he wants.
It’s like they forget completely who they are, and what the did to get there and almost give up before it starts. So I’m watching this game today Game 2 of the Eastern Conference playoffs between the Raps and the Cavs and it’s playing out exactly how game 1 did. The Raptors are playing timid, scared, not taking good shots not attacking the Cavs when the should, especially Lebron.
Sure I could blame half of this game on the officiating or the NBA’s favoritism of the Cavs, but the game isn’t even close, the offense is lack-luster, the close-outs are slow, the boxouts are weak. There’s no way Derozan should go into a fourth quarter with only 4 points, there is no excuse for that. He is too good of a player.
But just like I said how the Raptors shrink, DeRozan does, and he has his whole career, and he needs to stop and realize how great he really is. Not only over the years did he shrink with opponents but with teammates. When he first came in, he took a backseat to Sonny Weems, later on was sharing minutes not quite living up to his full potential with Barbosa, Jarryd Bayless, and so on. Later on taking a back seat to Rudy Gay even though he should have been the guy, even then. The Raptors as a whole, need to stop taking back seats and realize they deserve the front, they’ve worked hard to be at the front and if they can’t realize that, maybe it’s time for changes.
I believe in this time, I know what they are capable of, what they can do. But they need to realize it now.
Drake "View" Reviews
SMDH hurt myself while participating in Yoga position downward dog a few days ago, I developed a muscle spasm in below my left shoulder blade. Regardless felt good to just get out there and something in #EarlyBirdGetsTheWorm. First run in several days, slow and steady but we are working out the kinks.
I wont front and act like I was waving the OVO Flag. I wont front I am breaking out the habit of comparing and contrasting newer artists to the Golden era artists. On the project "Life is Good" by Nas on the track "Back When" Nasir Jones is quoted with spitting, " To call them fake today it's hate| real niggas extinct 'Pac left me inside a rap world with niggas that wink| At other rappers undercover niggas spit every way|Won't be surprised if all their lives have federal plates".
Amongst the Young Thug and Migos of the world of hiphop. Aubrey Graham is positioning himself to be considered top 5 of All time period. We have all watched and witness the growth of the actor from degrassi who dropped the mixtape/EP classic "So Far Gone", has returned to your ear drums with more of that funk from the 6.
After reviewing "View" Drake has amazed me to show his versatility and range to touch various musical genre's. I can appreciate the growth in artists, the sound of this current project shows signs of maturity. At first I was against singing on records, but as the culture evolve so does the music, I can't categorized Drizzy to the icons and legends from the pass who had an origin of the street element interwoven in their music. Drake's diverse background provides him a platform to rock out on reach records that would be considered out the league for most artists.
The View has features from Riri, Pimp C, Wiz Kid, Popcaan, Kyla and have some dope production from Frank Dukes, Boi1da, Kany West, 40 & Nineteen85: Purchase Click on Link Here: VIEWS
Overall don't be cheap support dope music there is definitely a record out there for you and yours and the various moods we go through. Below are my favorite joints, that stood out on the first listen thru. Make sure you add this to your ipod playlist and music catalog. Salute to Drake for being verse in style mixed with ambition and drive. I would have never thought that the Greatest MC on the planet isn't from the 3 major markets of LA, NYC and Hotlanta.
