My mental health has gotten so much better since I stopped drinking that I might actually go t-total permanently
Why does society, especially for teenagers, revolve around alcohol and sex. Why don't i like alcohol, or sex. In the day, it doesn't seem too bad, but then friends invite you out to a club, or a party, and you just can't bring your self to go because 99% of the night will make you feel unbearably uncomfortable.. I feel like my friends pretend to get it, when in reality they think i'm odd and begin to stop inviting me out, and begin to replace me. I'm such a fucking outcast, what do you recommend doing when you truly fucking hate society.
Sober Life Problems
Friend: Would you like something to drink?
Me: Yes please, what do you have?
Friend: Would you like some wine?
Me: No thanks, could I just get some water?
Friend: I have white wine, red wine, sparkling wine...
Me: No thank you. I don't drink wine. I don't want anything alcoholic. Could I just get some wat-
Friend: I have Pimms, Champagne, would you like some vodka?
Me: Could I get some water, is that alright?
Me and my boyfriend have decided to completely rule out alcohol for the next few months, it'll be a challenge but I'm so happy we're doing it!
Saturday Nights
It's 3.30am and all evening/night my house has been full of drunk people. At about midnight they ordered takeaway pizzas.
I had an egg white omelette and rice cakes for dinner, I'm stone cold sober and I'm on about my 8th cup of green tea.
Not gonna lie, I'm watching them falling about all over the living room and feeling pretty smug. Gonna be even more smug at 10am when I'm in the gym and they're all nursing hangovers :)
If I hadn't have grown up the way I did, I probably wouldn't be so straightedgy.
