please emo/scene kids stay away from the hard drugs. i cant tell you what to do but as a elder emo/scene kid ive seen so many of my friends and relitives pass away from drug abuse my mom was 45 when she passed away when i was 15 and my soulmate died at age 22 from drug related death. and ive lost many friends i am over a year sober and ive gotten sober many times before cuz i feard for my life and thats not a good feeling to have and i hope to stay sober this time. so dont even get started.

i did it. i made it through my first major holiday sober. a holiday where i’d usually be buzzed by the time i showed up to the function (at 1pm every year) and shotgunning and doing shots left and right. a holiday where i barely remembered half of what happened the next day but of course my camera roll was full of photos and videos i didnt remember taking. a holiday where i’d get home and continue drinking until the early hours of the morning and pass out until 3pm the next day with a splitting headache and nausea that wouldn’t quit.

and the crazy part? it wasn’t even hard to not drink. sure, i had some NAs that i bought, but even those i barely drank. i sat. i talked. i helped. i enjoyed myself.
