god. she sure looks.....upset. she looks upset. more than that, nicolas can feel that she’s upset. it’s not that hard. lady has a presence that most don’t have. if she walks into a room, you’ll know about it. that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but people either have the it factor or they don’t. and when people with the it factor feel any kind of way, it’s easy to tell. nick scratches the back of his neck, hoping not to look awkward and looking awkward when he steps closer. lady is his friend. nick owes it to her to at least ask.
