It was stupid for Jeongguk to think that joining a camping trip would be anything remotely fun and entertaining. Possibly, the scenery does something for his stressed out mind from all of the criminals and toxic workplace in general, so maybe he did need a time away from people.
But not in this kind of context wherein he’s currently so lost that he has no idea where he is right now, and a shit ton of cameras following around. Jeongguk was smart to outwit those pesky beings as if he was anything remotely significant before. He definitely wandered too much with the campsite no where from his sight; so much for his soul searching and alone time. He was completely alone anyway on his daily basis. The calming rustle of the tree’s leaves was anything but white noise, making him think of the times he was in Cheongnam. A horrible thought in his head, but joining Gossip Girl’s treat can’t make him think of anything else really. Jeongguk had changed a lot since then and he wouldn’t trade for who he is right now, but the carefree attitude is something he misses.
Sat alone in the middle of the forest and only the moon as his companion and the twinkling stars easing his thoughts, Jeongguk felt tranquil. Maybe this whole trip wasn’t bad, if you forgot about the fact that this trip is a show in its own. Meeting a few familiar faces hadn’t brought him any scars from the past, and he had yet to see or meet someone from his clique again (which is something he both dreads and wants to do). His state of peaceful thoughts had to be cut short though, as he heard the rustling of dry leaves on the ground being crunched up with every footstep.
“Who’s there?” Jeongguk stood up from the ledge he had used as a comfortable seat, looking at the dark void of the deep forest. He didn’t want to be a crazy dude who hears random noises. “Speak up!”
