He was fully aware of the fact that he was a horrible person, but when did that ever stop him? Why try to fix something that was already so ruined and beyond repair. Taehyung saw no point in any of it, and thus making no improvements. Life was too short, he just wanted to have some fun before it was his time to go.
“Listen, I’m not dangerous. You don’t have to be so trigger-happy, babe. Do I get to know your name this time, or do I have to keep giving you some?” Taehyung questions innocently, arms still upraised as he stood and waited for his capture. “As handsome and darling as you are, I’d love to know a name. Or is it my turn to play detective and figure it out myself?”
Jeongguk usually never messes up. His number of idiotic mistakes greatly lowered after he graduated from high school, calculating every step and every move he would take. He learned the art of breathing in and pausing in his tracks to get a better view of things. He wasn’t the reckless kid he used to be before, despite the more grant of freedom now that he has mostly in control of his life.
Yet he didn’t take in account how his last night’s rendezvous would be his enemy on gun point. Heck, if Jeongguk would have known fate is such a silly motherfucker, then he should have just stayed in his unit and pleasured himself alone. That detail alone gives Jeongguk the disadvantage he didn’t know he would have, ever. His morals couldn’t take it, and yes, this cold-blooded officer actually has his own set of morals that he dutifully follows.
It seems like every word that comes out from Taehyung’s mouth causes Jeongguk to voluntarily grip on his gun tighter. It was clear to his furrowed eyebrows and hot, piercing stare on the criminal that he was aggravated beyond belief, and not because Taehyung stole some items that Jeongguk gives a shit about, but rather he was mad at himself that he let this notorious criminal in his space to let out some heat last night. Taehyung’s last words made Jeongguk fully lost his “cool” and “collected” demeanor, cocking his shot gun and shooting it just about five inches away from Taehyung’s face.
“Honestly I thought you would have known from last night how angry I could get, but I guess that small slip of my finger just reminded you how I could be both in bed and in duty, Kim,” Jeongguk’s features darkened, his grin turning into a half-smirk as he approached his target and grabbing his hands, arresting Taehyung. “I didn’t get your pretty face scratched, right?” Jeongguk mocked Taehyung’s playful tone as he skilfully trapped both of his hands with the officer’s right hand and with his other hand stroking his cheek.
“Anything you say can and will be held against you,” Jeongguk finally reached out his handcuffs and placed them on Taehyung’s. “So only say my name: Jeon Jeongguk.”
