Photographing @anuboodram1 exactly a week ago for BC Pires' Trini to the Bone to appear in Monday's @ttnewsday column. Anuradha Boodram is a Cardiologist Sonographer specialising in ultrasound imaging of the heart. I am also deeply grateful to have remembered to shave my head, because this disturbingly clear photo by her colleague Liz Valley would have showed up any incipient fuzz. I usually work with umbrellas when wind isn't going to be an issue and I don't mind light spilling all over the place. They are quick, efficient and very configurable even in small spaces. This particular setup is a ratchifee clamshell beauty lighting rig, taking advantage of the subject and clear wall behind her.
