Daybreak was... oddly nice. A bit confining but that wasn’t their fault: it was his mutation that limited his comings and goings but all in all Jungsoo rather liked it. There were plenty of things to do and the amenities were great compared to what he was used to. It was almost like he was staying at some luxury spa hotel... for exceptionally, uh, special guests. A resort that honed your skills into the best possible shape for some end game that he hadn’t really grasped the concept of.
Even though he hadn’t been living in the dorms for as long as some others, he had run into quite a few. The small chats they had bumping into each other in the hallways, lounges, and other communal areas was partly what he liked about living in the facility. There was so much to learn about all the various characters that graced its premises. Truly, it was eye opening.
Jungsoo thought of himself as rather polite and approachable but there was someone who did his best to avoid being together with him. It was impressive how little they saw of each other. He had seen the elusive boy maybe... three times since arriving and the last two had been fleeting glimpses out of the corner of his eye followed by the click of a closing door. What had he done that was so wrong? They’d never even spoken so why the complete aversion to his very being? Perhaps he had a wing phobia of some sort, a dislike of feathered things?
Next time I see him, I’ll ask him, Jungsoo thought to himself as he wandered the halls between the dorms. ‘Next time’ came quickly as he saw an approaching figure who suddenly froze when he noticed that he wasn’t alone. With a bright smile, Leeteuk raised a hand in greeting as he walked towards the other male who was doing his best not to look at him. “You’re Hansol-ssi, right? We haven’t formally met but you can call me Leeteuk.”
