ok i have to start with my...gripes about this stage
is it just me or does this costume combo look stupid
i understand it’s mixing traditional and modern culture but like goddamn the white outfits and the hat do not mix well like just go with a modern hanbok or decorate the hat or SOMETHING
i also thought the hats were useless cause the choreo didn’t relate to it at all
the only thing they did with them were touch it a lil bit and then throw them away so like why were you even wearing them?? were they a last minute addition to make the stage more traditional??
if you’re gonna use a prop make the choreo to highlight the prop don’t just have it to have it UGH
the choreo is amazing but damn the hats almost ruin it for me
anways on to the sick ass choreo
top panel the way they were able to match each other’s level and energy when jumping was AMAZING i will always be amazed at people being in sync with each other lol
2nd panel this is a classic transition choreo and will never cease to amaze me
like the way minho puts his whole chest into it DAMN SIR and like the way his feet look like they’re gliding and floating on air i could never
lix can get it too like damn bitch them shoulders tho!!
one nitpick i have tho is i wish they decided on how big to roll their shoulders and chest to look uniform but they weren’t going all out for this video so it’s forgivable lol
3rd panel this is what my heart looks like when i see hwang hyunjin dance lol
the goddamn strength and control jinnie had when flipping my lord !! his core power is so strong no wonder he keeps doing all these flips and tricks
4th panel THE MOST IMPRESSIVE CHOREO I’VE EVER SEEN SKZ DO LIKE HOLY SHIT
first all props to lix for doing 4 CONSECUTIVE TURNS like the amount of spotting it takes to do those turns that fast
and he keeps them so tight and crisp and sharp WOW LIX WOW
and then they’re doing this as a roll off??? they fucking matched lix’s turning angle as he made his way downtown so perfectly like oh my god?? the teamwork?? the timing?? FLAWLESS
5th panel another beautiful roll off with perfect angles and timing
if you couldn’t tell i’m a huge fan of roll offs and cascades
but yeah this is my favorite skz choreo out of all the things they’ve done just wish they either didn’t have the hat or they did more with it :/

agility: i mean this in the best way hwang hyunjin is a snake lol. he moves with the grace and speed of one. the way he knows how to switch his weight between his hands and knees as he whips through a spin and then brings the movement to a stop is amazing. and then to let everything settle in he takes his time bringing his hand around to draw everything to a close. he’s so agile and lithe it’s mesmerizing!!
immersed in character: i think skz love it when they get to go a lil crazy lol. when they get to go a lil feral hahahaa. their stage presence was crazy during this stage and they really went all in for the concept, choreography wise and character wise. for 100 seconds they transported you to the jungle and when they end youre like oh shit i’m watching kingdom rn right right
finesse: this stunt is ALL about timing - being in the right position at the right time and moving at an exact moment. in rehearsal i think seungmin wasn’t in the right position which made felix stumble a bit which made him jump too early and crash into sung. the fact that they executed this stunt flawlessly during the actual stage shows how well they work and communicate as a team. also there are so many details that go into making this stunt work and they pulled it off so effortlessly and fluidly.
athleticism: lee minhooooo istg the day he turns into a full on b-boy is the day i die. this is not just a simple stylized cartwheel people this is like gravity defying shit. he launches one foot in the air, leaves it there, and then swings his other foot around and twisting his body to create this beautiful twist image. he’s so graceful doing this and damn do you see how he uses his hips to get his second leg around??? minho pleeasseee
fluidity: usually each skz member has a different way and style of executing moves, but for this specific move everyone is moving almost exactly like one another. they almost jump the same, swing their arms the same, elongate the arm the same, they even land softly the same way wth. also idk why but i think this is my favorite move because you expect them to be aggressive with the jump and the landing and like make one big statement. but they’re like SIKE we’re gonna finesse this shit and be slick and graceful WOW i love textured moves
playing with the music: i love when a choreo emphasizes a beat in the music with a simple gesture. sometimes simple is best people. hyunjin chan and sung literally just spin their knives on this isolated beat and it’s so impressive? they create so much suspense by slowly dragging their arms up so you think something crazy’s about to happen, but no they just spin their knives and your expectation are subverted but it’s also so satisfying?? in conclusion, thank you to whoever choreographed this you are a master at using the stage, playing with the camera, and knowing when to use the music hehe
