There was already a small crowd around them in the afternoon, the entrance of N Seoul Tower in the June weather; Minhyuk was already wiping the sweat from his brow and had the sleeves of his TRC shirt. He was glad that he had picked to wear shorts for the day, his sneakers were getting a workout too; his hand messily going through his hair when a fellow trainee patted his shoulder to let him know they were going up again. He nodded, only to cringe when he heard the start of the beat as he got in place; a hand went to his face as soon as he heard the start. Touch. His shoulders trembled with his abashed chuckle as he jogged to his position.
A hand waved to cool himself off, before he tried to focus on dancing; one making his movements not look horrendously bad. His head half-hung forward the whole time, completely abashed and embarrassed by his state. It truly could not get more embarrassing than this; at least the song was only three minutes. Minhyuk had been facing the other direction, his hands moving down his body as he tried to smoothly move his hips; a lame and rigid attempt. Flushed cheeks not from the heat as he found himself trying to stifle that feeling like he was floating out of his body. Something he could no longer down when he turned around to connect with the gaze of his girlfriend, Seohyun and his best friend, Jungshin. Panic broke his resolve, head falling forward as he was biting onto his need to fall on the floor and lose his mind. He had to focus, now more than ever. Seohyun was watching, someone might notice; tongue grazed as he concentrated more.
A few times through the rest of the song, he found himself glancing towards Seohyun. Every time, he felt the tug of a smile and lowered his head. He was happy she was there, truly. It lightened his heart. But he was only too ready when the song finished, his body felt reenergized as he went straight to the water bottles they were supposed to be handing out. Two in his hands as he jogged toward Seohyun and Jungshin. “Hey! Here --” Minhyuk tried to hold the air of professional trainee about him as he bowed; this was the first time Seohyun was seeing him as a trainee. The TRC water bottles held out. His gaze lingered on Seohyun more than it needed; it always did. “Please take these.”
