Exactly four years ago today, I published the first two chapters of The Avatar and the Fire Prince on AO3. Back then, I never could have imagined that in 2026, I’d still be just as invested in this fic as when I first started (and would have 52 chapters written and over 4k kudos to boot)! 😭

For the anniversary, I wanted to draw a little homage to the boys’ journey throughout the fic, which interestingly also spans 4 years (96AG-100AG). The four panels in order represent Book 1: Air (96AG), Book 2: Water (97-98AG), Book 3: Earth (98-99AG), and Book 4: Fire (99-100AG).

I know I already mentioned this in my thank you for 4k kudos post, but THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of my TAatFP readers! I wouldn’t still be here writing it four years later if it weren’t for y’all ❤️‍🔥

im gonna attemp to illustrate (more like sketch) some scenes from the fic ! the dialog and writing is just so good i can picture most of the scenes really vividly! lets hope i can figure out how to draw it lol!!!!!

Finished the cover for Book 2 of The Avatar and the Fire Prince! My favorite part about this one was getting to draw Yue 🥰🌙

This is my third attempt in the span of 2ish years at creating a cover for my canon-divergent AU longfic The Avatar and the Fire Prince, in which Zuko is the one to discover Aang in the iceberg shortly after being banished at age 13, three years prior to the canon events of the show.

I used the covers of both the ATLA and LoK comics as well as the covers for the original DVD box sets (which I had as a kid) as inspiration, and I’m actually quite happy with how this turned out! I think I’m a lot better with expressions now than I was when I attempted to draw this the first two times lol

Some Zukaang drawings I spent wayyy too much time coloring while trying out some new watercolor brushes on CSP lmao The ones on the top and bottom right are of the boys specifically from different points of my canon-divergent AU fic The Avatar and the Fire Prince (in which a freshly banished 13yo Zuko is the one who finds Aang in the iceberg), hence why they look closer in age. The rest of the sketches of them as adults could fit for either that AU or for canon :)
