’Tis the season for… fluff, apparently!
I suspect the next chapter update will be in 2018…

Soo, the clocks changed, you see, and suddenly the days were all short and whatnot and I was like “no write! No do anything! Only sleeps!” And that’s why this update is a week late. Sorry, @lost-translator… Uh, I mean, sorry, all my fans!
In other news, this chapter features action and excitement and really wild things! Also a priest, and Lieutenant Montoya continuing to be the butt monkey. There is no relation between those two…
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
A day late by my self-imposed schedule, but hopefully not a dollar short. In fact, ’tis the longest chapter yet, since these OCs of mine will insist on flinging themselves all over the galaxy, and we have to keep up with all of them!

Not gonna lie, folks, this chapter was work. It occurred to me as a bunch of out-of-sequence vignettes that I had to stitch into a cohesive whole, and I laid on myself the duty of introducing my antagonists to the audience and showing they have reasons for what they do that make sense to them, consider themselves the heroes of their own stories, all that good stuff. Still, we get there in the end (fingers crossed!)
P.S. For those that missed it when I posted it here for a little straw poll, there’s a “deleted scene” from this chapter that I’ve turned into a Scene from the Life of Phil Shepard, with lots of nerdy headcanon about how the Alliance military works, as well as a bit of character study of Phil.

The latest chapter of The Anti-Agathics War is finally up! Thanks to everyone who’s sticking with it 😁
