Drinking from the pond of Kawther is forever forbidden For those who rejected the Wilayat of Ali at the pond of Khumm; While those who obeyed their Lord and drank from the love of Ali, (42:23) Will have their thirst forever quenched by the hands of their beloved himself.
A group disagreed with the first, So ‘apostates’ they were named; Three groups waged war on Ali, And a ‘disagreement’ it was named.
When Muhammad was buried, A thousand tragedies began: Those who would run from battle, Towards Saqifa, now they ran.
Each time they try to close the crack on the Ka’bah, They open for themselves another gate to the fire; With each merit of Ali’s they try to hide from the world, It becomes clear who is with the truth and who is the liar.
No man today will claim he hates Ali But when they read words in praise of him Their faces turn sour and they express their doubts, “This verse is ambiguous and the narration might be weak,”
For no other companion are sanads so discussed, So many explanations- but of their hatred, what is left to discuss? And surely Muhammad proclaimed, “none would love Ali But a believer, and none hate him but a hypocrite.”
They ripped off the veil of Zainab, exposing her to the sun of Karbala, So may the Lord rip their souls from their bodies, And expose each face of theirs to the flames of Jahannam, “Indeed Allah is severe in punishment.” (8:13)
Three Muhajirun went to Saqifa and said to the Ansar, They were closer to Prophet and had precedence in Islam, But was any closer than the one called Muhammad’s “nafs” by Allah? (3:61)
