Here's my analysis of Adam's design.

Ahhhhhh.....Very controversial topic. You know this fandom, say anything negative about bmb//lb and the wasps are on your ass so fast.

But here it goes

I absolutely hate bmb//lb. A good portion of my rage and hate is the wasps though

As said, if anything negative is said about their precious lesbian ship. All hell breaks loose. Arguments over fictional characters and sometimes death threats. That’s a good enough reason to stay the hell away from the ship.

But for ACTUAL reason for disliking this ship, is in the show itself.

They aren’t good for each other.

Someone with abandonment issues and someone who is emotionally distant and has just come out of a mentally abusive relationship and doesn’t want to be close to someone out of fear they could end up like their ex or will get hurt? That doesn’t really mix.

And now that Blake’s back and team RWBY is back together, they have a lot to catch up on.

Blake’s going to want to explain to Yang why she left Vale after the whole thing (she is justified for doing so btw) but I get the feeling Yang isn’t going to want to listen to her “excuses”. I get that vibe from All That Matters. The lyrics in this song move me so much. I’m not a bmb//lb fan but that song is strongly bmb//lb. Its basically Yang’s feelings toward Blake after everything that happened and about how she feels now that she’s back.

“I never thought you’d up and leave me without a trace to lead me”

“and now you’re standing here with that look in your eyes, the look that makes me hope I’ll just believe your lies”

Implying that she doesn’t want to believe anything Blake tries to tell her about why she left.

“I thought that I could pull you from the shadows, maybe help you find your wings and fly”

Yang tried to help her when she was stressed about the stuff regarding the White Fang in Vale, but did so in a way that didn’t actually help her. Yang opened up to her about her mom leaving her and her own struggles in wanting to find her mom. (I kinda feel that Yang expected Blake to open up to her because she opened up. But that’s not how that works.)

“I’ll risk it once again to have you near my side, another chance to let you just destroy my pride”

Yang is going to be more scared and nervous that Blake might just leave again, and Yang will be upset all over again.

That isn’t an ideal type of relationship. You don’t want to constantly be worrying about if they might leave you. Yes, Blake’s changed and she says she’s not going to again, but think about how Yang would feel. She left before so what would stop her from leaving again?

These next lyrics just further prove that:

“...you just take everything in stride, the way I feel to you is no big deal, it’s sad but it’s true, that the one thing I can count on is that I can’t count on you”

Let me tell you, when I first heard this part I teared up. Like, Yang is genuinely upset and hurt by the fact she feels she can’t trust that Blake won’t leave again. That she won’t hurt her again. That just isn’t a good thing for a relationship!

I’m sorry but that can be classified in toxic relationship territory! Why would you want to be with someone who you aren’t sure will stay?

Not to mention the fact that Blake hasn’t shown any interest in girls in the show. When Ilia admitted she had feelings for her, Blake didn’t really react a way how someone would. She didn’t really show much of a reaction at all. But it’s canonally shown she has an interest in guys. Ilia confirmed Blake was in love with Adam, and I mean do I need to explain how she is with Sun? But that’s for the BlackSun rant.

So, again, I find bmb//bl can be just as toxic as Tauradonna. Not on the same level of course. Adam was intentionally emotionally manipulative at times and at points emotionally and mentally abusive. Yang just shouldn’t have to be put through that kind of emotional strain and trauma.

Not knowing if your partner will leave you (again) is emotionally draining and can be traumatic.

You can’t just look at bmb//lb and say it’s the ideal relationship and that it’s perfect and not toxic in the slightest. Because it is. People just don’t want to delve deep enough into it to see that...

That’s the end of my bmb//lb rant. I know everyone has different opinions and thoughts, I just try to take as much reference from the show as I can to make my conclusions.

So, here’s a thing that has no business being on my rwby blog but I’ve gotta say it. So here goes

You know when you’re driving, and then suddenly there’s a deer in the road?

You stop, right? As to not do harm to your vehicle. That’s the main reason people stop for deer, because if they hit the deer it can do massive damage to their vehicle.

You see a small animal in the road, say, a raccoon! What happens?

They think, “who cares it’s just a wild animal.” This mentality is also the reason people willfully hit skunks, raccoons, squirrels, and chipmunks. Hell, or even the poor turtles and frogs.

They don’t do much damage to your vehicle, so what does it matter right? “Who cares?”

But suddenly, there’s a dog in the road! Quick, stop! That’s somebody’s best friend! That’s someone’s pet! Don’t hit it!!

Isn’t that how it goes? People will do everything possible to avoid hitting a dog. Of course sometimes it’s unavoidable. Even hitting the little animals can be unavoidable.

But what irks me, is how people are with cats in the road.

It’s the same mentality as any wild animal. “Oh it’s just a cat, who cares” well let me tell you something.

I have a lovely outdoor cat named Cuddles. He is the most lovable cat ever. He gets so happy when you pick him up and cuddle him, he drools. He’s a polydactyl cat (so he’s got giantic thumbs and extra toes) He’s a family cat, the whole family loves him. Anyone who meets him falls in love with him.

Just last night he was hit by a car. A vehicle of any size almost always kills a cat.

Losing a pet is never fun and it’s heartbreaking. Every. Single. Time.

So just because it’s a cat, doesn’t mean it’s not someone’s pet, someone’s best friend.

My father has even said, “Most people don’t stop for a cat. Because it’s just a cat. I don’t stop for them.”

It sickens me knowing there are sick fucks out there who go out of their way to hit animals.
