monday 1.16.17 ••• MLK Day finally that i have a day off to write this, here's my piece. to be able to witness such talent is amazing, but to be able to call/consider some of these individuals homie's, a-alikes, or even brothers is another. but before thanking the one person for opening these avenues and allowing me into his private sector, i have to thank two people that i consider my brothers, SMTF general @rpreme & BMTF general @pauly_popo . honestly, w/o these two individuals, i'd probably not be writing this column of appreciation and not meeting the man that's continuing to open doors for myself, along for/with many others, @lowski_noc . from meeting some of his crew memebers of the legendary 2X back to back ITF Champs, #NocturnalSoundKrew @oxblood & @compose_nocboy to recent members @eskae & @djdeception , it's a real humbling experience to be quite honest. just to be able to "what's up" and a handshake is cool, but to be able to have conversations is iller. i give these guys a lot of respect (bc knowing what they accomplished), but to receive it from them is another. some individuals have acquired hot air balloon sized egos because they are better than the muggles like i, but with these guys, they make you feel comfortable around them. i appreciate that. it sort of feels like when i would go to the skatepark, i would sit on the side and jus watch my friends skate. i was more of the observer and also being blown away by the skills some of my friends/individuals possessed. i'd hope to one day be dope as my contemporaries in all fields of creativity. plus, i hope there will be more events like this to the show the youth the truth. #nmlshi #nevermeetinglowerstandards #nocturnalmindedlifestyle #djing #skratching #tableist #hiphop #hiphopculture
