random question but what drawing tablet do you use,,, I'm trying to get myself one and there's so many options I'm going insane
((also your art is super fucking cool !!))
I use a wacom cintiq 13 HD touch (with the touch always off), personally! I've been using it for the past 8 years every single day (heavily) and it still works great! I love it personally.
But there's a few things that might help you narrow down the best tablet for you!
Display tablet pros:
More natural feeling for most people
An extra screen in your workspace
Tablet arm options to physically move and rotate the tablet and canvas when working (doubles as a con for the space they take up and the cost!)
Display tablet cons:
Less ergonomic
more expensive
Takes a lot more computer ports and a lot more power
Parallax effects can be hard to get used to
Slippery, which some people don't like
Pen tablet Pros:
Generally more ergonomic
Much cheaper
More portable
Pen tablet cons:
Harder to get used to
No screen
And then the next biggest consideration is tablet size! Tablets vary a LOT in their "active space," and personally very large tablets are exhausting for me to use. having to physically move my arm further to get to menus and across my screen is too tiring to me, so I prefer smaller sizes! But, a lot of people prefer the larger working space so they can have more menus active and a bigger canvas space to work on. So that's an important consideration!
Once you get those two preferences figured out, it really just comes down to brand and cost considerations! I only have experience with wacom, so I can't offer much advice on that front.
Hope this helps!
