I always get sad when the Taxxons' irresistible cannibalism gets called evil in Animorphs. I can't remember if this ever gets lampshaded in the text (it certainly does in the subtext), but their cannibalism is so clearly a symptom of their species being a victim of their own biology. It's almost like calling the Yeerks evil simply for wanting to be able to experience life outside of a kandrona pool, only worse since the Taxxons literally can't help it.
Speaking of which, I was researching earlier if I remembered right that Arbron was nothlit-ed as a Taxxon, and it autocorrected to Taco, which honestly would have been a much better fate.
