Tag "Tacobutt". thx. I've come out as a male, my actual name is a female name, and I kinda wanna change it into "TacoLord". It may be a bit silly, but I feel that's more like me, I don't want any other male name, and using my actual name makes people say 'She' and not 'He'. I don't wanna change it legally, but when people in stores ask for my name, I kinda wanna answer 'TacoLord'. But no one would take me seriously. What do I do? I don't mean to be a douche, I just wanna be called 'he'. k thnx.
Whatever name helps you to feel you more like you is completelyokay! If TacoLord makes you feel more male and more like you, then it’s okay towant to be called that. However, if you did decide you want to change your namelegally, you may want to consider a professional male name as your first nameand TacoLord as your middle name or the name that your family and friends callyou. This is because it’s going to be difficult for future employers and admissionsofficers in the case of college to take you seriously. I am not trying toinvalidate your name or your feelings at all, but I think you should reallyexamine the possible negative consequences of changing your name to somethingthat’s not typically a name. I would hate for you to not be able to get intocollege or get a certain job because of your new name.
