Farmers market season is in full swing. Tacoma has Farmers Markets 6 out of the 7 days a week. The Broadway Farmers Market just opened at the beginning of May. With early warm weather the crops are sure to be bountiful crops even sooner for some things. Broadway Farmers Market is Thursdays from 10-3:00 between 9th and 11th downtown. If unfamiliar with the area just put 'Pantages ' into your navigation system & it will take you to the 9th Street end. If you want a free indepth, back stage & other places you don't get to go, tour of the Pantages,Rialto & Theatre on the Square, check out the Broadway Center's booth & check the websites. I think the tour is at noon or 1:00. I went on one last year & it was Stellar! Tacoma is filled with specialty shops. This is one you might not think of. Flags A'Flying has flags (dugh!), decals, flag repairs (flags aren't cheap), kites, pennant strings, flag display cases, patriotic decorations, lapel pins, decals, patches and more. I found them because I wanted a small Pirate flag for my kayak (some of you know why). I don't like ordering online & prefer to shop local.
