First time eating a burrito from Tacoria.

5/5 Stars.

I was skeptical at first- mostly cause I never ate there before and I expected Chinese food and nothing comes between me and my General Tso Chicken, but my folks ordered this instead-, but the everything perfect- especially the guacamole, as there was only a little amount of onions inside.

Would order again! 😁👍

Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen

A small chain located exclusively in New Jersey, I discovered this gem when walking through Princeton. With an electric atmosphere and a line out the door, I knew this was a must-try. My first impression of the restaurant was that someone managed to make Chipotle even more hipster (if that’s even possible). With Mexican Coke in glass bottles, wooden tables with iron chairs and benches made of old lockers, graffiti and paintings of Einstein in traditional Spanish style, and unique lighting galore, the vintage atmosphere was cozy, if a little pretentious. The food was what really made Tacoria stand out, however. The options, while limited, were glorious. There were choices for vegetarians, vegans, and meat-eaters alike, and my biggest regret was not trying the Nutella nachos offered for dessert.

My order: ‘Mission Style Burrito,’ choosing ‘Rajas with Smokey Roja’ as my protein. The smokey flavor was unlike any burrito I have tried, and the meal was completely vegetarian. The portion size was perfect, the burrito wasn’t too overstuffed, and everything was just the right amount of messy to make it fun.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and this order (especially this protein option) to anyone looking for a unique, vegetarian, Mexican option in the New Jersey area.
