Ah, it was good to get a break between his classes. Normally he’d spend it in the library doing the homework that didn’t require his sound boards and editing laptop; however, today he found himself outside, enjoying the crisp air and watching the hustle of the other students as they went to and from classes.
Otabek found himself on a bench under a large tree, one of his class books in hand. Large brown eyes scanned over the words, enjoying the story that was unfolding in it’s pages. Though a serious student, he always took one extra elective class a semester. Sometimes he’d use it as inspiration for his work and sometimes he simply took it because it sounded fun. This semester it was a literature class. Fantasy. It was secretly one of his favorite genres, he always found enjoyment in escaping to worlds that weren’t his own.
And so, he lost himself for the next half of an hour, turning page over page. He hadn’t really noticed that someone had sat next to him and even managed to get up and leave. His mind was elsewhere...at least until his watch chimed that it was time to get going to his next class.
When he looked up, his eyes trailed down to the bench and... saw a book....that’d been left behind? Curiosity led him to pick up the book and open it, discovering a name on the inside cover. Morgan?
Well...if he hurried up, maybe he could both find the owner and get to class. If not, well, it wouldn’t kill him to skip one class a semester, right? And so the next few minutes were spent going to each student, simply asking if the book belonged to them. If it wasn’t, he’d move on.
Many times he was denied...and he had started to give in quite honestly. It wasn’t worth spending the entirety of his afternoon over it. So his path changed course to the library. Just giving it to the lost and found seemed to be the better option anyways. He did decide to ask the people he came across on his way over there, but wasn’t going out of his way any further than that now. When he got to the library, he asked the last person as the door before stepping inside and conceding that his mission was a failure.
“Excuse me, is your name Morgan?”
