I present some designs and character files of my TADA AU, they have a small description of what each one is like, although they lack information, but over time I will get more data from each character :)

So. TMA and TADC. The Amazing Digital Archives? Idk.

Been playing with the idea of putting the magnus cast into a TADC-inspired world because. Yeah that’s what happens. SO.

No one would be a complete 1-1 replacement but hear me out.

Caine = Jonah Magnus. That one feels straightforward, since it’s the whole ‘all-seeing AI schtick.’ The different ‘bodies’ he jumps through still exist, since instead of having the ringmaster who explains the situation as best he can and is upfront about being an AI in charge, he’d play at being ‘one of the humans’ and never truly give them an explanation of their new world. The original Elias was a ‘player’ in the game, but Jonah drove him to the verge of abstraction and managed to overtake his shattered mind

In a way, he’s kind of both Kinger and Caine to an extent. Everyone just knows he’s been there the longest of all of them, and seems to have grasped more about what’s going on, but is purposely a bitch about answering anything. Eventually they find out he’s the AI running things, but until then he’s treated like one of the group

Jon takes up the role of Pomni in the sense that Gertrude (~Kaufmo) abstracts and he is dragged in. The other archival assistants would already be inside the ‘circus.’ In a rough layout, Martin is Ragatha, Tim is Jax, Sasha is Ribbit, Danny is also in the Ribbit/Kaufmo role of being someone Tim lost, and then there’s less of a 1-1 with Basira, Daisy, and Melanie in regards to Zooble and Gangle. Really they’re all separate enough in my mind that the 1-1 is dodgy for everyone, but those roles are closest

In regards to Sasha, she would still be ‘around’ as a Not-Them, the substitute being that she was made into an NPC and no one realizes until she starts glitching out at one point and Jonah-Elias ‘reboots’ her. Tim obviously loses his shit.

The ‘adventures’ are the statements. They go through some horrific scene every few days before being dumped back to home base. Gertrude had started tracking them, finding consistencies etc that Jon starts following in doing. Eventually he finds that she’d connected it all back to Elias being at the helm

Jon’s whole arc consists of him slowly shifting towards being an AI himself. He starts being able to manipulate code to make NPCs reveal things, bypassing code, etc. Jonah-Elias’s goal is that in placing Jon at the core of the program, he’d be able to destroy whatever code is keeping him there and leave the digital archives for good. Basically, AI ascension outside the bounds of its own code

Of course, trying to make a human integrated with AI entirely fucks with their mind. The Unknowing ends up being this destructive virus which attempts to dismantle the program entirely, and sends Jon into this half-abstracted state he spends his coma time in

Martin’s struggle with the Lonely culminates in him almost abstracting before Jon pulls him back in. I’m not entirely sure how the Lonely itself/Peter Lucas/most of that arc would look… but I know where it ends up yknow. I just don’t know how I want Peter integrated in yet

By that extent, I’m not sure how to treat a lot of the avatars either. Separate AIs/viruses? Or some might just be those ‘adventures,’ like Prentiss. Will be thinking on that

There’s a lot I still need to work out logistics for, but this idea has been plaguing my brain so now you all get it. Ideas are welcome lol

I think endgame ends up being Jon and Martin having a way to terminate the program, Jon terminating Jonah’s code before he’s meant to, and then Martin having to end the program not knowing if it will kill Jon at the center of it or not. So pretty parallel with canon

Just… thoughts. Many thoughts. More probably to come
