y’all out here calling goose racist bc some white ppl wanted to start a hate campaign against a trans woman so dug of some nearly decade old tweets, a stream where someone misheard the prefix “nega-“ short for negative (see “nega-scott” in scott pilgrim vs the world)an extremely common fandom term, and *checks notes* used an extremely popular song to evoke a feeling abt a dead trans girl you dont like and *double check* her show’s finale premiered on juneteenth a thing she probably had no control over given most movies premier on fridays… and for the way her fans acted despite her basically telling thosr racist fans to fuck off
ive not heard "nega-" used as a prefix in anything except scott pilgrim vs the world, and even then within scott pilgrim its used as in an entirely different context than the n word stream. in scott pilgrim, its used in the same way as "anti-" is used as a prefix to mean "opposite (with a negative connotation)". in the n word stream, its not used as a prefix. its used as a replacement for the n word. its used in the same exact way that fuckers in tiktok comments would go "is (s)he restarted? is (s)he acoustic?" as a way to say the r slur without actually saying it and/or use autistic as an insult without actually saying that. this is a phenomenon known as "im not touching you racism" where the racist in question isnt being explicitly hateful, isnt explicity saying the n word, but might as well be doing that with the way they're knowingly almost doing so. the song goose used isnt just some extremely popular song (frankly, i hadnt seen it at all in any recent pop culture until after the finale was posted), but a song about BLACK fatherhood and joy sung by a BLACK man that she had a racist lolicon cover to set a montage of her abuser self insert to. its maybe like a bit odd and/or unfortunate at best for the finale to release on juneteenth, but when fans were actively making posts (that got a decent bit of positive attention) all like "this is the only important thing happening today :)" (one specifically was in response to a tweet talking about how it was juneteenth saying "erm no its actually finale release day"). sure, some of gooses pretty damn bad posts were made in 2021, but it doesnt matter how long ago something was if there is no evidence in changing behavior. goose never deleted most of those tweets, apologized, backtracked, or even said anything until they were brought up again in the big year 2026 and kinda threatened her image. no one said anything about the n word stream until it resurfaced, and goose today has still yet to actually say anything about that. i havent really seen goose explicitly tell off her racist fans or even acknowledge her own racism (past and present).
