Martial arts teachers of Tumblr. Does anyone else forget to give students water breaks during class? Because I am notorious at my school for this so I actually have to write water break down on my class schedule to make sure to give breaks.

Okay so the cutest thing happened at my Taekwon-Do class yesterday. We recently got some new students and one of them is a little boy who is nine years old. So after his first class he runs up to his mom and points to me and my friend Luke and says, "That one and that one are my favorite black belts!"
I can't express what it feels like to be a child's favorite black belt. Needless to say I have a new favorite student.
I forgot how to properly iron my Taekwon-Do uniform 🙃
Long story short I forgot how flexible I am and I just kneed myself in the boob and possibly bruised my nipple 😂
My Glutes are so mad at me right now. Like what do you mean we had to do bending ready stance-side piercing kick drills. Why did we do this??
Rant about my tkd life because why not
So I got my red belt a few weeks ago and I’m learning tiger stance, I fall over 4 times, I wave my arms around multipul times, and I get laughed at by my fellow classmates. Oh well its new I’m learning. And plus I’ve started doing leadership classes and they tend to be extremely a exist since there are only 2 girl instructors currently(not including me and my sister). I usually end up being the only girl in the class and things get really sexist because they see me as one of the guys and forget im there.(yay friendship!) My master made a comment about teenage girls and I just looked away closed my eyes, and silently glared at the back of my eyelids. The room had fallen silent when I did that and I sighed quietly. But also I’m in blackbelt club which is where you learn to break bones and put people in headlocks, it’s really interesting! But sadly I almost always end up being the only girl. I’ve already gotten the respect of everyone so nobody makes comments about me “being the solo red cup”. Instead we all joke around and it’s really enjoyable! I’ve been at my dojang since I was ten, I’m 16 now and I’ve been out of taekwondo all together for over a year on the multipul injuries I manage to get. I also have problems with my older sister who is a black stripe. She doesn’t want to ever go to taekwondo, and when she does she’s partnered with me. And with me shes rather mean, she scasually kicked me extremely hard and hit me for “fun” while i just stand there and boost my pain tolerance. and she was about to break my arm one class before my master literally had to grab her arm and rip her arm off of me before she broke it. I know she’s my sister but she is a verbally and slightly physically abusive sister. Ok now that that is out I'm gonna go do my taekwondo classes today! Have a great day all you human plushies!
