At this point, their friendship consists mainly of them bickering and purposely annoying each other and lots of sarcastic and sassy remarks from each side are present as well, but overall they always have a great time. This is what he likes to think however, because if he were to ask Suzy, she’d certainly throw in a sly smile and hiss something about how she doesn’t really know him.
Nam Taehyun? Nam Taehyun. Who? Who is that?
Nevertheless, serious moments occur, although not as often as they happened once, when their bond was stronger — but they’re slowly trying to pick up the pieces anyways and perhaps create something new and better than the last time. No matter how many times he’d tease her, whenever he has to, he’d willingly take her side. He’s a little aware that the situation of her group hasn’t been the best one as of lately (neither was it when they first met in fact) and he couldn’t help but notice how a certain group mate of hers was using a much harsher and colder tone than what he was used to hearing between two colleagues. “Sure, you sit here and whine about having no job. I mean, who’s forcing you to stay here in the first place? Suzy is simply doing her things. She isn’t plotting against you or to get you kicked out.”
Suzy’s warning came a bit too late, for he has already spoken and although he doesn’t really regret his own words, he knows that severe consequences may come ahead.
Her heart feels so heavy and she’s certain she’s not going to be able to breathe properly in the next couple of minutes. Though Taehyun was often responsible for comments that were usually the outcome of a hard nudge, or a playful scolding or two, Suzy is left baffled at the words that escape his mouth in a sharp whip, leaving her with not much to say at first. She’s left to react in whatever other manner she can apart from scold him, so she grabs his hand and eagerly gives it a hard squeeze. She can’t quite say if its a affectionate one because he was after all sticking up for her, or if she was silently warning him to not push further. Perhaps it was a mixture of both, but with her chin tucked down and her arm pulling hard, she’s dragging him away in an attempt to keep her eyes pinned down to the ground. The floor is a blur of beige and browns; flashing before her eyes because of the quickened pace to get him alone around the corner.
Having had escaped, Suzy’s trying hard to grasp her words; Brown hues wary of where to look as they slowly raise up to meet his taller height. “What...what were you thinking?” Her voice is quiet but stern, firm enough to show that she’s waiting for an appropriate explanation. Knowing Taehyun though he was ready to rant about how she shouldn’t allow such behavior from other people to parade on her life, but it’s what she’s used to. She’s grown over the years and was well aware of the colder atmosphere she brought when around her members. It wasn’t the same as it had been 5 years ago, and not much could change that. The thought alone makes her sentimental, but she’s taking a deep breath anyway as she loosens the hold on her friends hand, and lets her arms drop to her side “That really wasn’t necessary though...”
