Doctor WhoTop 5 favourite characters: River, Jack, Donna, Amy, VastraOther characters you like: Rory, Martha, Clara, the Doctor, Strax, Jenny, Dorium; never forget DoriumLeast favourite character: RoseOtps: River/Eleven, Amy/Rory, Vastra/Jenny, Jack/RiverNotps: the Doctor/any companionFavourite friendship: Amy & Eleven, Clara & Twelve, Amy & River, Vastra/Jenny/Clara/Strax (I actually have a gifset and meta to finish about it because I really adore the relationship they developed throughout their encounter. If Clara had stayed with them, it could have been Victorian Leverage and they all would have been flawed and cute and ruthless and changing together and I think I would have enjoyed it a tad more than the mid-series drama)Favourite family: the PondsFavourite episode: The Big Bang/The Pandorica Opens; of course, it counts as one Favourite season/book/movie: still series 5 because the thematic and tone was carried flawlessly, but series 6 had the highest number of iconic episodes, and series 8 was probably the most consistently well-executed. I hate this question.Favourite quote: “We all change. When you think about it, we are all different people, all through our lives and that’s okay, that’s good! You’ve gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me.” I’m not sorry. Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: my reaction to Missy’s reveal probably woke up the entire block. When it really disappointed you: I am never really disappointed in DW. I usually am very angry at it when it buggers things up, but that’s because I love this show and am used to standards set by Who. Ten never apologising to Martha probably.Saddest moment: do you ever get a sharp pain in your chest as when you spent hours reading curled up and your intercostal muscles are killing you afterwards? This is what River does to me. And even the funniest River moments turn quickly into the most painful. Most well done character death: River’s. Although Danny’s was really sensational in its dullness.Favourite guest star: Alex Kingston. But this series, Jemma Redgrave.Favourite cast member: John BarrowmanCharacter you wish was still alive: Danny? Some would probably disagree, but I don’t think he had enough time on screen. One thing you hope really happens: female Doctor. Who do I have to kill to get a female Doctor? Oh, yes. The Doctor, multiple times. Most shocking twist: killing Osgood. And her staying deadWhen did you start watching/reading: summer 2012 with series 4Trope you wish they would stop using: maybe the fairy-tale science in stories that are clearly more sci-fi than fantasy. It’s often a question of balancing the tones and it’s make or break for me. It can completely ruin the tone of the overall episode. Atmosphere and genre are really important to me.One thing this show/book/film does better than others: change. It never ever stays the same.Funniest moments: Strax’s usually are my favourite.Couple you would like to see: Clara/NinaActor/Actress you want to join the cast: Vinette RobinsonMost boring plotline: NoneBest flashback/flashfoward if any: baby Ponds shenanigans in Leadworth will always be my favouriteMost layered character: River, but there are huge chunks of her life that weren’t explored at all when it’s obvious many changes happened. So Clara. Quite literally, layered.Scariest moment: Doctor who is not that much of a scary show, but the creature in Listen was incredibly chill-inducing. That’s how the Silence should have been handled in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon.Grossest moment: Love and Monsters. The whole episode.Best looking male: JackBest looking female: ? how am I supposed to answer that? Clara? River? Vastra?Who you’re crushing on (if any): River Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): ? cf. my answer two lines above. I still have a huge weakness for the low-angle shot of the Pandorica against the TARDIS burning above in the Big BangUnanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: the Moon is an egg. Non, which means no in French. At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: Oddly enough, I think with the Wasp and the Unicorn because it was completely outrageous and I had never seen something like that before. Actually Fires of Pompeii. Maybe it all started with Capaldi. Maybe I have been lying to myself. Maybe I have been waiting all those years for Capaldi to come back and that’s the only reason I kept watching.
