Late entry~ art by colleyuriko. Slight spoilers here, but Queen Tahamineh does not stay in Ecbatana after Arslan is crowned king, so I wanted to draw her leaving it all behind. ...Though of course I believe she’ll be very interested in the outcomes of the second half of the story.
I drew her with black hair, since that is her canon hair colour. Chisato Nakamura’s manga adaptation also depicts her with black hair:
Hi! I hope you're well. I want to ask who is Tahamine's child's father. It can't be Angragoras, right, judging from what he did? Thank you!
Hi, thanks, I’m good.
*SPOILER*
The father of Tahamine’s child is Andragoras. He wanted a son, but Tahamine gave birth to a girl, so he gave that newborn baby away. He doesn’t give a fuck whether it’s his own child or not, if it’s a girl, it’s useless to him D:
Hello! I want it to ask you about the relationship between Arslan and Tahamineh now that Arslan is the king
Hi anon! (*‘ω’*)
(warning: novel spoilers)
Unfortunately, the relationship between Tahaminay and Arslan hasn’t changed at all after Arslan became the king. She now lives in seclusion in Badakhshan, the country where she comes from. Her attitude towards Arslan is still cold and distant, she doesn’t care about him at all, instead, she’s obsessed with Leila who she believes to be her lost daughter. Therefore, the way Arslan’s subjects think of her is a bit similar to the way they think of Rajendra. They witnessed how she treats her son, so they are not fond of her, Gieve and Narsus in particular. Gieve said in vol.12: “There’s no need to be gentle to her, she isn’t (Arslan’s) actual mother and it’s not like she has ever done something for him” and Narsus went even further and implied that he wishes Ilterish (Zahak’s subject) would get rid of her.
Idk, when I read the manga I neither liked nor disliked Tahaminay, but now that I read the second part of the novel I think she’s annoying af and I completely agree with Gieve and Narsus (-_-’’)
@Anon who sent me an ask about Tahaminay and Andragoras
Hi there, thanks for the lovely message! Hope you’ll have a wonderful day too<3 The answer to your question can be found under ‘keep reading’~
Hey, sorry if you've already been asked this before, but is it ever explained why Andragoras sent Tahamine's child away? (I don't have access to the novels and basically all knowledge I have comes from the fandom) Thank you for you time, hope you have a nice day :)
Tahaminay’s child was a girl, and since girls can’t succeed the throne and Tahaminay’s body was damaged during the birth so that she wasn’t able to bear a child any more, Andragoras replaced their daughter with the son of a nameless knight in order to protect Tahaminay (otherwise he would have had to marry another woman and have her give birth to another child, which would have threatened Tahaminay’s position as the Queen). And of course, that son of the nameless knight is our precious cinnamon roll, Prince Arslan! =D
One of the major mysteries in the second part of the novel is the whereabouts of Tahaminay’s daughter and as of now (vol.14) there are three candidates who could be her daughter (all of them are wearing the same valuable bracelet that only royalties can wear):
Leila
Fitna (Hirmes’ lover in the second part of the novel)
Parizard (Xandes’s lover in the second part of the novel)
I personally hope it’s Parizard, she’s a nice person, I like her! =D
