Twitter has a restrictive format so Im gonna put this here.
Basically, thanks to a few mods I have finally narrowed down Tai-Galei’s definitive story.
Tai-Galei has been a vampire for a long time, only having been apart of Harkon’s Court since the beginning of the 3rd era. As a Vampire, his life before joining Harkon’s court was filled with the typical villain background where he once sought to take complete control over his home of Blackmarsh and spread to Cyrodiil. However, after a few centuries of political intrigue and assassinations, he grew bored of the endeavor once it became too monotonous. His efforts however did get him recognized by Harkon, which is how he came to join the court. His centuries in the court were fine and a little exciting but then it became dull to him. He left the court some seventy years before the events of Skyrim to wonder around, looking for something to do.
He found that when he came across an orphaned bosmer girl in Valenwood. He didn’t know what happened to her parents, the girl looked like she’d been in the wilds for some time. He didn’t know what possessed him but he took her in and nursed her back to heath as the poor girl was horribly malnourished. He grew close to the little bosmer girl, giving her the name ‘Murria’ since she couldn’t remember hers. Caring for Murria had awoken something inside Tai-Galei, a feeling he has never experienced but it was one of joy whenever he saw little Murria smile. Sometime after he found another lost child, a dunmer boy when he and Murria was traveling in Cyrodiil. He took in the boy as he did with Murria, except the boy knew his name but did not tell of who his parents were. Xerxes, was what the boy had called himself.
Now having two children to care for, Tai-Galei sought out a home for them to live in. While he was content with roaming all over Tamriel, the kids needed someplace more permanent for them to grow up. He found an old ruin and did his best to make the place safe for the children to live in. For the next few years, Tai-Galei raised the children as his own. He had grown attached to the little elven children, spending time taking care of the chilldren had finally made him realize what the feeling was; fatherhood. While he has spent his countless years bored with nothing to interest him, he’s became detached from the world and time itself. Before he would simply stop counting the days, months and years as they didn’t mean anything to him anymore. However, since becoming a father figure to Murria and Xerxes, he’s found himself counting the days once again, letting himself settle in and not letting the years slip him by. He finally found something worth staying in the moment for.
He taught them many things he has learned in his years of being a vampire, gradually coaxing Murria and Xerxes to choose their specialties.
Xerxes was gifted in the arts of magic, specializing in necromancy as he had a talent for raising the dead and having a fine bit of control over them.
Murria stuck to her Bosmer roots and took up the art of the hunt. Becoming a vicious predator that stalks her prey and learning to craft what she needed to survive.
While the time the little family spent together, it was not too last. Some citizen caught wind of rumours of children in a fort investigated to only find that a vampire was living there as well. Jumping to conclusions, the citizen informed some adventurers of the ‘kidnapped’ children and the vampire. Adventurers descended upon the small fort, they ripped Murria and Xerxes from Tai-Galei’s grasp before slaining him. However, the adventurers really didn’t make sure he was dead and left with the children. Tai-Galei spend forty years asleep, resting form his wounds before he awoke to only find that time had past and the children he cared for long gone.
With the fate of his children unknown to him, Tai-Galei simply let himself become detached from reality once again. With everything he cared for now gone, there wasn’t anything left for him at that old fort. He soon came to skyrim some ten years before, upon traveling the lands he concluded he found something to do. He set himself in Falkreath, got close to the Jarl at the time and made himself apart of the court which he managed to get lands shortly after using ‘Vampiric persuasion’ he started to build a small empire of his. It wasn’t like he was going to take over Skyrim, no, he set his sights on the business end of things. With current events and how things are influx, he wanted to take advantage of that.
He bought out the taverns and general stores from each of the holds, set up a mine, a farm and a meadry to further expand his reach. He also has the Jarl Siddgeir’s ear, since it’s obvious the young man isn’t a good leader, he uses that to manipulate him. It leads him to have more sway in the hold since most of the duties are either passed off to him or the Jarl’s steward, who Tai-Galei doesn’t see eye-to-eye with often.

I’ll write a whole thing about his current life in the current events of skyrim and post-skyrim later.
it’s my skyrim character Tai-galei and his two kids, Xerxes and Murria.
I tried to do backgrounds but it’s absolutely awful, it’s very noisy with the clashing colours and looks out of place with thebrightbackdrop against these dudes. It would work if I knew how to draw backgrounds and do lighting
