So we know the 3rd movie ended on a cliffhanger with that guy having a bunch of red string theory boards, but I have an idea for the 4th movie's villain.
We all remember Yang and Yin. Perfectly balanced as all things should be. And then there was Allison, who was a successor to both.
In Taoism, the balance of Yin and Yang is called Taijitu. In this case, Allison is Taijitu, but there is also an opposite, a concept that is the lack of Taijitu, the absence of both Yin and Yang.
Wuji
Yin is dead. Yang is dead. Allison, our Taijitu, is n jail and unlikely to return another time. The lack of this is Wuji.
I think the next movie's villain should be our Wuji. Someone who is a complete antithesis to all the others, someone with no morals, no grand schemes, no patterns, no rhyme or rhythm.
(I also think we should have Chief Vick's husband be played by Emilio Estevez Estevez, but that's neither here nor there.)
I am writing to you because something's been bothering me for a little while...
I first known you for your Ninjago AU and your Garmadon fanarts. I thought and I still think this is one of the most beautiful and cute way to draw him. I loved it so much that I decided to take some inspiration to draw him in my own art style (cuz I'm an artist to :3) !
But here is the thing :
I've been struggling to find the good haircut for him... and the only one that satisfied me was the one you gave him...
Also, I was planning to post Ninjago (including Garmadon) art on my blog, but...
I thought people would probably notice that I took inspiration from you !
I don't want them to think I stole your design to make it mine... I don't want and I don't mean any drama or controversy...
It's just that... the hairstyle you gave him is feels so logical because he's old, but not that old cuz he's a half oni/dragon and stuff. It's also so satisfying to look at and it make me wanna pat his head (don't think he would allow it tho) !
So, yeah, I really love the way you draw him...
If you wish so, I can send you my design by message so we could figure out if its copying or not ! No pressure ofc.
Also, I asked you a question on your side blog Taijitu game, and I don't think you saw it. I don't blame you for being inactive on it, everyone gets bored of things overtime. If you aren't into Ninjago anymore, that's totally fine !

I took a bit of time studying the show's hairstyles, seeing how other artists drew it, then incorporated it as close to how I personally saw it in attempts to bridge that gap!

Side talk for the Taijitu-blog and game:
I went through a really rough patch, nuking a bunch of my old posts (including artworks/replies to asks) from older days, struggling with things that are very personal to me, and a lot of the stuff I deleted I lost to USB corruption so I have NO easy way to recover those doodles, but a part of me still wants to keep it that way (I can't stop people from reposting their fave old pieces! Lord knows I saved a lot of artworks from artists who disappeared off the internet or long since moved on)
I've grown a lot since! Art and person wise, I can be proud of how far I've come along and that fellow artists like you still love it! ;w;
I haven't watched the show in so long (last i was watching, the episodes were still coming out for the Oni arc, and I was locked in for Garmadon content tbh LMAO), I JUST found out there was a comic or something about Garmadon, I may one day casually read back on it or rewatch stuff! Fixations come and goes a lot!
I should make one of those giant sketch pieces of all my faves/comfort characters growing up... (spoilers: its all villains or edgelords)

They do! Not in wasteland au since these two hate each other so much that it made it impossible.
Even when yin willingly to work with yang and submitted. They wouldn't fused because the feelings isn't positive.
How ever, in the original verse idea. Since these two are caring for each others so much, know each other so much and treat each others like the best siblings in the world. They fused on an accident one day and learn that they can fused and become taijitu.
This is a backstory on taijitu. Where yin and yang were performing like usual on the swing, throwing each others and doing tricks on a very high place and height. But then the rope snapped and the two fall, holding each others hands. All these two could think of is to keep each other safe, and before they know it, the two souls joined together and there, landed and perform a bow to shock the audience and show that the two fine.
Making the scene like the two were planned this to keep the crowds from panics and fear, turn into cheers and admiration for yin and yang. Or the one who stand who doing the final perform before closing. Taijitu.

Okay, we're gonna go a little deep today and talk about some fundamental concepts to the Daoist belief system.
How many of you have heard of the 8 trigrams? A few of you, I'd assume. At the very least, those familiar with JttW will remember Laotzu's Brazier of 8 trigrams that famously failed to disintigrate Sun Wukong.
Now, how many actually know what the 8 trigrams are? Quite a bit less, probably. That's what we're learning about today.
This is a traditional representation of the 8 trigrams as created by the god Fu Xi, and the arrangement we're mainly going to focus on. There are other ways to place things, but we won't be looking into those too much thus time.
If you look at the center of the image you'll see a Yin and Yang symbol, or more accurately a Taijitu. Here is a good article going over some specifics, but for now we'll just go with the basics. The white parts are Yang, masculine and active energies. The black parts are Yin, feminine and passive energies. Together they make up the Absolute (Taiji) and are the foundation of the universe. They act on all things, which are represented by the trigrams.
The trigrams are the stacks of 3 lines, either broken or unbroken. Broken lines denote Yin, while unbroken lines denote Yang. Therefore ☰ (sky/heaven) is the most masculine while ☷ (earth) is the most feminine. The other trigrams are ☱ (lake/marsh) and it's opposite ☴ (wind/wood), ☲ (fire/sun) and it's opposite ☵ (water/moon), ☳ (thunder/metal) and it's opposite ☶ (mountain). They are positioned across from their opposite on Fu Xi's Primordial Heaven Bagua (8 trigrams).
When you stack 2 trigrams on top of each other, you get a hexagram, of which there are 64 because trigrams can be stacked on top of themselves. For example ䷀ is two ☰ (sky/heaven) on top of each other, making the hexagram for force.
Things are a bit more complicated when comparing the 8 trigrams to the 5 elements (water, fire, earth, wood, metal), as there is NO way to make those numbers play nice and even so things get a little wonky. Fire and water corrospond to themselves, of course, while earth gets earth AND mountain. Wood gets wind while metal gets sky and thunder.
Honestly it kinda seems like they tried really hard to smush together two concepts that were created independently and were never really intended to interact but both individually became so important to the culture that they kind of HAD to.
