How easily do they fall in love?
Not easily. He cares very deeply about the people in his life but is rather reserved and cautious when it comes to actual, romantic feelings. When he does fall, he falls pretty hard but it tends to take a while to get to that point.
How do they say ‘I love you’ without really saying it?
He’s really quite the taurus when it comes to showing people he loves them (whether romantically or a familial/platonic way). It’s through checking on your comfort levels, making sure you’ve had eaten and had enough to drink, following you with a jacket before you can walk out the door. (The agents have jokingly called him Momlin before and he couldn’t even be mad.) Despite not being part of the medical staff, if you’re sick he’ll check on you regularly, find out if there’s anything you’re missing or need for your recovery. If he’s particularly fond of you, he finds out what your favorite treat is and brings it whenever he gets the chance.
Have they ever said ‘I love you’ without meaning it?
No, but he has said “I love you” while pretending not to, which in a way hurt a lot worse for him.
Would they ever enter/have they ever entered into a friends with benefits relationship?
He gave it very serious consideration with Harry (@tailorofkings) when they were younger and more hotblooded. It didn’t last long, tho neither particularly regrets it.

Hamish had been half expecting that kind of response from Harry, but he still looked at him with a shake of his head and a roll of his head.
“If we don’t do something, Harry, we’ll freeze to death before anyone finds us. The best way to do that is to conserve body heat. Now which one would you prefer? Freezing to death or getting under the covers with me until someone gets here?” He asked as he sat looking at his friend. His breath visible with every breath he took and word he spoke.
