Am going to make a DIY Selkie tailskin that I can use with my short fins 🦭🩶

Found all the ingredients in under 20 minutes and as a result I think I’ll be able to make a tailskin for under $50 🥹

Basically what I’ll be doing is buying some off white neoprene, then some fabric spray paints (very light grey, dark grey, and black - for seal molting and spots)

Honestly I’m glad I’m a largha seal because our spots are much simpler than a harbor seals for the most part lol

Anyways, I was thinking about how I struggle to feel validated as tails. One of the only ways I can really get that opportunity is through roleplaying.

But then I realized that roleplaying as a kin is.. kinda morbid if you really think about it. I mean, you exist as a character and your acting as you would in that situation. Everyone else is just pretending to be your friends and family. I can't even imagine how it would be with canon kins or kinnies with good memory. You see these people acting out characters the way they interpret, which is wonderful, but it's not right to you. You know that Amy always acted this way, and this Amy acts totally different. Even with other kinds I'm sure it could be unnerving.

I say all this but it's never really bothered me in the past. That could be because I'm a divergent kin, or maybe because I was/am in a pretty lonely spot as a fox, so I was just happy to have friends.

Recently I remembered my canon had a few levels and whatnot cut from official Sonic material - always make sure to check stuff like that by the way, like unfinished stuff or alternate takes / versions or behind the scenes or extended versions, etc if you're fictionkin by the way. Might be able to find answers, especially if you feel like something is missing or different but you're otherwise compliant in some way.

Not much to say otherwise. Basically what you need to know is that I'm still making those ROM Hacks I once mentioned - you're probably suspecting Hidden Palace and Wood Zone in Sonic 2 and you'd be correct (first things I remembered of cut content being in my canon because they're extremely obvious lol)

Jeez my Hidden Palace is really red lmao, a stark contrast to the colorful SEGA version. Some people compared it to the Nether from minecraft and well...I see it to say the least. It's off screen but in my canon the water in the Palace was actually Acid. Wood Zone on the other hand isn't too unusual, kinda funny slight magenta and teal tints though.

It appears now but Tumblr was being weird about my previous post here - I wasn't shadowbanned it seems but it took a bit to appear in the tags. Check that if you haven't already.
