The Tai tag is alive with talk about his parentification/episodes that feature it. And I am here for it.

This boy had to take care of his sickly sister since the instant she was born. The slightest slip-up could result in her death. Which I'm sure didn't sculpt his fear of failure later in life. Also in the original film, he tracked Kari all through Tokyo while she was riding piggyback with Agumon. Like does he need more trauma (yes)? Also interesting how everyone forgot Greymon vs. Parrotmon. I'm not sure if there was a canon explanation but I wonder if it was at least partially a trauma response? Because at least for Tai, it had to have been extra traumatic with his sister in the mix. (I could be wrong- @seventeenlovesthree might have the canon answer).

I've talked about this at length, but I just like seeing other people talking about it too. @mikaila-orchard mentioned how the group fell apart after Etemon's defeat because only Tai knew how to care for other kids at that point. And like...it makes so much sense. I love it. It's been so long since I've seen a shred of meta.

okay so. hotchreid in canon i would never like unless it was in like a super fucked up, not-glamorized unhealthy way. and even then, 'like' is a strong word. i would just think it's interesting and i would be obsessed with it.

however. it's the ship i read the most fics about💀 like i just think that the idea of it is so fun and so much can be done with it. also i relate a lot to spencer and i have issues so i want him to be with the dilf.
