Does anybody remember when I posted Slasher art here? I did a while ago, I think in 2020 and 2021, maybe. I posted art of a character called “Slasher Wolf” I drew at a time when I was very depressed and mentally unwell. I don’t really draw him anymore for various reasons, but he was fun and I liked his design.

I had other characters I called “Slasher Characters” most of which were basically just bootleg weird animal versions of actual slashers I just drew when I was bored or depressed. This is the only one who wasn’t really directly based off anything. I don’t remember her name, she was just called “The Bunny Slasher”.

She’s a white rabbit / hare, is rather large for a rabbit. She kills male rabbits and keeps their feet, at least the animal version of her. Thought I’d repost it here since it looks good! Drawn Saturday, ‎September ‎12, ‎2020

This Little Swan Island hutia mount, part of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery‘s collection, includes the animal’s original skull and teeth. The specimen was donated to the museum by the Paignton Zoo Environmental Park in March of 1939. [ x ]

First and last thing I’ll say about the topic

This whole roadkill cat debate is honestly the most annoying thing that’s crossed my dash. There are people that have grossly taken others’ posts out of context, made a lot of people out to be “bad people” and have all around just brought a lot of negativity to the community.

People are not taking cats off the road because “Oh haha your outdoor cat met an untimely demise because that’s what happens to cats that live outside so now its mine shithead haha”. No. No one is doing that. Vultures pick up any animal to preserve them, or to keep them from being turned into pancakes.

I personally think passed cats have a better chance making it back home in the hands of a vulture than they ever would just on the road. People pick them up, freeze them, and will literally wait months to find an owner. In less than a few days, feral dogs, cars, actual vultures, and insects can render those cats unidentifiable to anyone. 

We aren’t, let me repeat, are not, taking cats to be spiteful, or to be assholes. We aren’t doing it because it’s a punishment for people that own outdoor cats. I greatly disagree with outdoor cats, but obviously not everyone does. This doesn’t mean I’m going to pass a cat, think “Thats someones outdoor cat. It’s mine now!”

So honestly. Just stop? Stop accusing people of being disgusting, and taking cats out of spite. Vultures are doing what we do. We preserve animals after their time is up. If a cat doesn’t have a home, it has one with us. If a cat has a home, I bet you anything 9/10 times, a vulture will wait, look, and look for it’s home.

This whole topic just needs to be over. It’s stressful, aggressively repetitive, tedious, and it just makes the community look bad.

So everybody please just chill out.
