His assistant was irritating him and he knew it was his own fucking fault. After continuing to search for a good mole in the RFA, Unknown had come to the conclusion that ultimately, she was the best option he had.
"I'm just going to talk to them." She'd told him as he ignored her faint look of disappointment. "And if you can glean anything from that, it's on you."
So she now spent her time curled up in the corner of the information room, focused entirely on her phone. The RFA were eating out of her hands, just as he'd expected them to, but he also found that her gentle smiles and laughs were no longer solely focused on him.
It left an ugly feeling in his chest and he scowled. Who was she to do this to him? Why did she do this to him? She had him so under her spell it was fucking ridiculous.
Suddenly there was weight in his lap as she plopped herself down. She was still tapping away at her phone as she pressed her cheek into his shoulder. Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around her and pressed his cheek onto the top of her head.
"You okay?" She mumbled.
"Mm." Unknown grumbled, unwilling to admit that he had caused his own issues. She locked her phone, laying it flat on her chest. "I don't have to talk to them."
"Mmm"
"Use your words." She huffed, gently hitting him on the shoulder.
"I don't want to share." Unknown grumbled, unburying his face.
"You're the one that wanted me to do this." She said lightly.
"I knoooooow." He groaned, dropping his head again.
She laughed at him and the knot in his chest loosened.
"Just let me know. I'll follow your lead." She said, simply curling into him. He sighed, and simply held her tighter. His actions right now were opposite of what the Savior needed, but he couldn't stop himself.
