/ I COME OUT OF THE BLUE TO SAY,,, I headcanon that (for at least my Mr. R.eca), he is not just a regular memokeeper like black swan, but rather, he falls into a different category within the title; R.eca is a memosnatcher. The difference between a regular memokeeper and a memosnatcher is that usually rememokeepers follow very strict rules when it comes to making sure they aren't using their powers for causes beyond their goals (duties that fall into hoarding memories, making sure the universe is remembered in the face of destruction, etc) so they are typically trained to not steal, control, tinker, nor restore memories. If a memokeeper breaks these rules, they face something like a 'termination' which I'm not sure if it means that they get completely snapped out of existence (since they already don't have true physical bodies) or if they get their title as memokeeper taken away (Which I doubt is the latter, because how would u return the bodies they already gave up? but that's a debate for another day)
To these strict rules, there are some exceptions,, and that's where memosnatchers come to play; this type of memokeeper are allowed to avoid some of the rules of the garden of recollection and aren't necessarily aligned with other memokeepers and have some permissions that the rest wouldn't typically have, tying this all up with Mr. R.eca, I like to think he's a memosnatcher bc we have been shown how he's swiftly modified memories of students to forget the whole banana incident and used his powers to make others comply to his 'script', not to mention his lightcone where we can literally see how he's burning a film reel, which is a reference to memories themselves, he burns, cuts and pastes memories as how he sees fit to match his beloved scripts which is something that would be absolutely forbidden for a regular memosnatcher.
There's another category called 'the cremators' which he could also fall into since these type of memokeepers don't believe in every memory being valuable, and will destroy what they find unimportant 'in order to "clear out the garbage." ' which I find very fitting for him as well, I just have to sit and cook it more, but it could also be perfectly plausible for him to directly fall onto this category, it just depends on how strong and far off his ideals and biases go, which is something I would have to analyze more in depth
Long story short, he's some strange existence that does not avide by the rules for some weird ahh reason
"The City of Dreams, the Breeding Ground of Sin, or the Promised Land..." Extracting the memories of many, he scrutinizes the spectacular moments, disrupting, reorganizing, and splicing them together. "Most people's memories are but a collection of trivial and monotonous fragments, where only a handful of precious moments stand out, while the existences of the rest are utterly unnecessary." Frame by frame, the images flow through his grasp, gradually woven into a tapestry of brilliance. "We don't transport memories. We only create the past."
