❝ If there’s any part of you, any part of you at all, that believes that I’m telling you the truth, you’ll help me. ❞

She doesn’t him know him well and she does NOT trust him but being Elaine meant having faith––even if it’s b l i n d or h o p e l e s s; she had always given the benefit of the doubt. It’s rather a CURSE, now.
At first, she never trusted a damn soul because it was just her and Jiaheng trying to survive in a SOULLESS world. She was hurt way too many times in so many ways by people she didn’t know that asked her to trust them.
Then, her brother told her to F I G H T for herself, to fight for them, and she did. Elaine, in turn, hurt people as much as they hurt her. There were tears, terror, blood, and darkness. Those times make her eyes go VOID of life for a moment.
It’s a different time now and she’s a different person in a different world where she can be a little more trusting so she blinks a few times before a soft, wry smile settles on her lips, “ Help you ? What’s going on ? I’ll do whatever I can to do it. ”

“Stop...stop it..” she whimpered at her dog, having her tears licked away by the animal. The woman sat on the marble seating of the fountain in the park, hugging her knees tightly as she shivered from the dawn wind. This was her second time running away from home, both sadly not that far apart from each other.
Her aunt’s temperament had been worsening as days passed by, little things setting her off with large consequences. It was enough to make the blind woman fear for her life and lock her doors at night. She was able to escape but there was no plan after that once she got lost. As soon as Kwan began his series of barks, she knew someone was approaching and quickly hugged her dog around his neck with a worrisome look on her face. “W-Who are you?”

“Does being a person matters the most now?” he asked, eyes were gazing down to the floor beneath him and did not flicker to meet Aris’s orbs as he contemplated his words.“Lost too much or given up too much- does it really relate to being a person?” Yuta had his fair share of losing something that he had came to love so much, giving up as well. However, saying those words somehow made Yuta sounded so ignorant, that he noticed. Even so, he did think that those things were what made him human once upon a time, but as he grew older, appreciating that he is living- living is all that matters now but he had come different walk of life than Aris’s. Who is he to impose his own judgment onto the latter? But now seems like an exception; “I think a ‘person‘ is not defined by those things, honestly.” Truthfully, Yuta was never good with words- “I don’t know if you’re going to understand my words, you may disagree all you like,” He looked up to gaze on Aris’s briefly, “If you’re not a person by the terms of just losing and giving up too much, that’s sad.” He sighed. “I think you’re giving yourself such a debilitating stare that you’re probably have forgotten that someone else is looking at you more than you would, ready to accept you regardless whether you are a human or not.” Honestly, Yuta does not know what to make of Aris when he described himself like this, but, if there is any day that Aris comes to him running to him with an unprecedented speed, Yuta will be there to accept him better than anyone else.

More Memories 🐺- A memory about being alone His mother left him for her office work. Honestly, he could not blame her for not being able to stay beside him for the day, his third day in the hospital ward. His broken legs that he could not feel or innervate to his liking- a silent that slowly crept onto him and deafened him out from the rest of the world- ting! As if a timer was set on, warm tears rolled down his cheeks. He could not hear his own cry and sobs because his voice would not come up from his throat, as if his vocal chord was malfunctioning too.
Ah, this is how it felt like to be alone, Yuta finally realized. When you are all alone- no one is there beside you- You, yourself who began to crumble down without anyone seeing and to your comfort, there is only you who is experiencing this and to your dismay, who are you going to hold on now?Months later, if Yuta remembered it nicely, was him beginning to distance himself from football.

“My fault? Guess I’m causing global warming too, asshole.” Aris spoke sternly, a hand wrapped around the others wrist in a firm grip while they walked; but it wasn’t one of anger or irritation, he was keeping them close so there was no possibility of them getting hurt by any means. The duo had opted to have a night out, and that led to a someone small scuffle that ended with Aris knocking two drunken strangers out cold. He could care less if Yuta was hit on, or cat called but being touched by randoms? Aris didn’t really hesitate after seeing that. True, the fight was indeed his fault if you go by the fact he swung first. But they’d started it the moment they came near the other. Now they were leaving the scene, crimson splattered among his shirt and dribbling from his bottom lip.
“Why are you even fucking angry for-” It should be me, you fucking caused a scene. He sighed. It was almost exasperating for Yuta to see Aris like this just like the firm grip on his wrist. “Will you fucking stop for once?” He pulled his hand away harshly and just as he expected when he looked at his wrist- there was faint blush indicating a normal blood flow again, “I’m not a child for fucking sake.” He sighed gently. Not that he was not grateful that Aris managed to stop two bloody idiots and their unnecessary flirting and touches but his method of handling was beyond rationality. “You could have saved yourself from having blood all over you if you decided to tell them to fuck off.” Yuta was never one to carry little things around like a handkerchief so his only option was to rip of his graphic t-shirt beneath his white shirt that he put on. “Push my hand I will knee your goddamn stomach. Show me your cut.” He demanded and that was when he realized the blood stains on the latter’s shirt. “Take that off too, I can’t risk on getting questioned by the police if they see you in that. Wear my shirt instead.”

“Finders keepers, losers weepers.” Leon stated. The object he supposedly ‘stole’, was apparently valuable to the male, but did he care? The answer was no.
