No, not really... I mean I guess it doesn’t matter since I was suddenly removed. But- I was just kinda back-stabbed by someone I thought I could trust. No big deal.. It’s... just been a VERY rough month guys... 

Lost a lot of people in a matter of a couple weeks over something I didn’t even do...

I love you guys though. Honest. I’m just having a hard time coping with everything and I’m feeling more and more pushed away...

           where this bravery comes from, he isn’t sure, but jaune’s back is straight and his teeth bared for this confrontation. he is alone, seemingly outmatched if something were to escalate, but he doesn’t appear to care, “do you...have any idea....how many lives you helped destroy?”

     it’s entirely possible that watts sent for mercury not long ago. it’s also entirely possible that he got caught up in his work and completely forgot, because he’s sitting at his desk with his eyes glued to his scroll.

     he doesn’t actually notice mercury enter the office.

he was expecting a punch. it’s yang, that’s her style, he didn’t expect her to steal a page from his book and send a boot into his face.

            bracing for the wrong attack is enough to send him reeling backwards, toppling over with the force of it even if his aura absorbs the damage. perhaps it was arrogance that made him shift the way he did, fully expecting one thing and only one thing from her, but either way it was still enough to end with on frustrated assassin. not that he was about to admit that.
