bernadetta’s use of fillers  ( “uh”, “um”, “like”, “you know”, “i mean”, etc. )  formed out of desperation to not be / general fear of being interrupted.  the more she uses in a given string of sentences, the more she believes someone might overpower her presence completely / render her voice useless.  in extreme cases, she might forgo speaking all together if she feels as though she’ll only be silenced, or if what she says will bear little importance.

random but completely useless hubert headcanons     /     @talehero

the most prominent among all the scars that line hubert’s body is one that can be found on the left-hand side of his abdomen;   it traces his skin in a gouge-like line.   this scar stems from an injury he sustained when he was in his very early teens,   having taken a dagger directly to his form in an attempt on his life by some assassin or another.   the likes of which stemmed from: a)  his being the only heir to house vestra,   and b)  his being the immediate right hand of edelgard,   the future empress.   he’s definitely taken more hits than just the one,   but this wound in particular has left the most resilient scar on his skin.
