This year has been a time of redesign and refinement, for almost every part of what we've been working on.

Designs have been changed to give them a real reason, Overworld Sprites reflect this with clear improvements, going to be shown in both SwilTaett work and unrelated assets such as Fanart. Character Writing has been toned and tuned as necessary to better fit the vision of SwilTaett/DeltaTwist that comes with more thought and exposure to this world and its contents.

To those who have stuck around throughout the years, or to those who are just joining in, I welcome and cherish every bit of support and suggestion you give.

DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 - Announcement & Impact

DELTARUNE Chapter 5 is going to release on June 24th of 2026. I don't have any exact plans for anything to strongly change with the release of DELTARUNE Chapter 5 as any core lore details are already either confirmed or nearly absolute, but with ACT 3 sharing its strong plant theme and connection to UNDERTALE's Seven Human SOULs, some influence may happen but in a way that won't come at the cost of consistency.

It's also likely to cause progress to unfortunately slow down as the result of a small break, so that every Team Member can better enjoy the experience at their own pace.

A (Mediocre) Website?!

To give a fun fact, SwilTaett has had a page on Neocities since 2023! Although that was when it had much less of its own identity. However, the site is now actively being revamped with updated info, sprites and lore!

In fact, as a hint of the actually completed sections, here's one of the assets for the "NPC StoriSOULs" portion of the site.

Pintrikk, an ACT 1 enemy originally designed by zafall167 in July 11th of 2023, now FINALLY makes its more polished appearance!

The first image below is zafall167's original Concept Art, and the second is my own 2026 Revised Version made to make details clearer in preparation to begin making Overworld Sprites.

(Unfortunately, the base of the SwilTaett Neocities does come from a page I was planning to use to keep information about My Takes on Chapter 3, so certain phrases or LINKs do still connect to that, but will be removed at a later time.)

Is it still underdeveloped to the rest of these worlds...? Well, almost!

There's been more recent attempts to connect both ACT 4 of SwilTaett and TaleTwist to UNDERTALE's King Mettaton Ending. As such, designs for how Sans and Papyrus could appear are currently in testing.

VALENTINE'S 2026 IS HERE!

This time I focused more on the different ways that the Cast Members express themselves, where the more extravagant characters get Valentine's Day Cards with added effects and images to reflect that!

This year's cards are much more-high effort than before, using custom-made sprites and themed PNG decorations, and because of that, I'll also include an explanation for some of the more unique cards of the 2026 Set!

Merrie's idea was to originally have her follow the same Cartoon Logic that her other actions are based around, with her heart beating and extending from her chest whilst she spills every idea she has for a (which almost had overlapping text to represent this before I decided it went against how Merrie's Typing Quirk was trying to be more understandable).

However, I wasn't able to get the result to look good in time, so I kept the same inspiration by enlarging her features with a more exaggerated pose that could more easily to be adapted into Pixel Art.

Fawnne's Overworld Sprite is based on Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure, in the final song known as 'HOME', where the ITEM that Fawnne holds was eventually changed to be a rose instead of the Paper Flower from the original scene and Concept Art.

Susie's Valentine's Day Card is the most detached from love, as it's meant to instead be an apology letter that she's having to write during school hours for bullying.

I don't know whether this will be used any further but I wanted to share this piece of potential Jack dialogue, with it being something that actually feels right to write, as well as one of the only successful tests for something else.

[HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY, UNDERTALE! + TaleTwist/SwilTaett Design Reveal]

I made Concept Art and an Overworld Sprite of Fawnne in a Muffet-Inspired outfit based on an idea of the Handymen being drawn in custom outfits corresponding with whoever shares the same SOUL Trait in Undertale (with her having thicker drawn-on eyebrows meant to look like Muffet's extra eyes)!

However, I wasn't able to contunue after Fawnne because of Ripper and Crewelle/IGNEO MALICE not changing Kris' SOUL Trait during ACT 1.

These images are from the recent additions to the SwilTaett Script, with both moments being from ACT 4 because of the most recent Undertale/Deltarune NEWSLETTER, and how ACT 4 is a past version of TaleTwist's SIERRA LESSE.

Finally, I wanted to present how I believe the SwilTaett Cast would interact with the most recently revealed Beta Designs of their Deltarune counterparts, including between Lizzie's Design in the Storisets and Queen's Beta Design, as well as Helpress and Mad Mailer!

I did want the Concept Art to have a comedic tone throughout, however, I have written about my thoughts on UnderTale's 9th Anniversary and the current state of SwilTaett in the bottom-right of the image. Please take the time to read it when you can.

In regards to the Design Reveal hinted in the title, and because of the importance of the number 9 across the Anniversary Undertale/Deltarune NEWSLETTER, I'm finally choosing to show the appearance of CHARA in the Storisets across TaleTwist and SwilTaett!

The Concept Art has existed since December 10th of 2023, but because of how confusing TaleTwist's development has been and continues to be with how much has changed across its rewrites and reimagined versions, I've been waiting until now to finally present it.
