I am begging for the people who said that the subplot of Od going back to Circe is gross to please touch grass and read the Odyssey and not just listen to Epic the musical.

SGG is actually being pretty true to material here personally. After one transactional love making, he willingly stayed on her island for a year and would’ve stayed longer if not for his men wanting to go home lmao. He didn’t count it as cheating because he “didn’t love her (read ‘give his heart away’) as much as he did Penelope.” Who at this point was just written as an icon for fidelity and loyalty and I don’t think I can be convinced otherwise. I do not think she loved him the same after the passage of that time.

Anyway Hades 2 is a gift and a lot of fun and has some great commentary on whether or not traditions should be broken in favor of morality. Or if everything is just one giant lie an incredibly sheltered (but truly and deeply loved) child soldier has to navigate on her own lmao.
