Jimmy Cricket is very faithful in my take except for the part where his ghostly nature is more apparent. Since he dies in the original story pretty early on, I wanted to take that aspect and play with it. Pinocchio is haunted by his conscience in a really literal way and it allows the cricket to be more omnipresent in a sense.
