On Wednesday, the official X account for #TheWitcher game series announced the passing of actor, director, and writer William Roberts, widely known as Bill Roberts, with an obituary penned by his ex-wife Nicolette Roberts published on February 14.

Born in Roseburg, Oregon, on October 18, 1943, Roberts relocated to London to study drama at Manchester University and later co-founded and managed two theatre companies alongside his former wife. In the realm of #Anime and #VideoGames, Roberts lent his distinctive voice to several memorable characters, including Seitaro Sakaki in Patlabor 2: The Movie, Bularios in Appleseed, Zenzō Kadoma in Goku II - Midnight Eye, Dogen in Sword for Truth, and Moomin Papa in Tanoshii Moomin Ikka. He also provided the voices for Dromarch in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Vesemir in The Witcher, cementing his legacy across diverse media.
