Ref sheets done by spcrossing (@sp-art-gallery), here's a new OC I've recently made: Kylee Howard, a Pokemon Trainer...who is also a Braixen?! ...and originally human?!?!
A jolly, adventurous woman from Castelia City in Unova, she is a volunteer at the Poke-Form Laboratory somewhere in the world, a closed beta project on human-Pokemon transformation that has been years (in-universe) in the making!
Often seen transformed into a Pokemon, she's usually a Braixen, but likes to experiment with other Pokemon forms and shapes! Offensively, she's more limited than the average Pokemon, but can still pull off offensively weak and defensive moves, usually for utility purposes. She still acts as a Trainer despite being a Pokemon herself, having the convenience of not being prone to Poke Balls (not that she wouldn't be able to "de-register" herself after) and still being able to talk the same language as other humans; ironically, she still can't speak or understand Pokemon speech. She does go back to human form on rare occasion, though; she doesn't mind it, but being a Pokemon is more fun! She does turn some eyes, but given how Pokemon society has already seen a ton of oddities, a talking Braixen being a Pokemon Trainer - even a transformed one, but also especially one from a project that's been in the news for years - is not something a lot of people feel like side-eyeing.
Oh, and she loves having a tail. A lot.
Also, if you see a Joltik on her, that's Gamma (they/them), one of Kylee's Pokemon team party members! They love to ride around on Kylee's new tail and eat up the static electricity her fur gathers up.
Who can lift the most out of you, Jasmine and Milo?
Oh damn, I mean last time we did this, I lifted the most, milo threw the towel in, jasmine never joins in with working out, she’d rather just relax. I think she enjoys watching but not partaking. I mean that’s what I assume? She’s never gotten involved personally. We got her to hold a little kettle bell one time. She didn’t like it.
I’m watching pokemon on Netflix right now, and the narrator is doing these weird voices translating ash’s pokemon except for lycanroc and a wild sudowoodo who I think are just actually talking.
Pokemon Trainers usually aren't coated in fur or have big, fluffy tails to wag around...but Kylee is one of the exceptions to that norm!
A skeb comm done by omaru_poke at skeb.jp/@omaru_poke!
I animated a short film called ‘It’s Super Effective!!’ staring my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon duo, Rio the Charmeleon, and Kurt the Wartortle.
Huh~ I’m constantly learning new things about my Pokémon. Good Charlie.
I’m pretty happy, ‘cause instead of my usual pencil drawings, I actually drew these frames with a ball-point pen, and it cut my work time in half. It has something to do with forcing myself not to worry about erasing stuff.
P.S. Tumblr ruins the timing in the preview image, so open the image in full view.
