Capito?
Ive improved on my talking stick and im pretty happy with it. Doing formline on shaped wood with paint is HARD, and im still learning. Its a giraffe 🦒😋
I hear all of your ‘Din Djarin parents the Mandalorians and they love it’ headcanons, but have you considered:
Din has to have a meeting with a bunch of other Mandalorians, and in a moment of brilliant insight while they’re all talking over each other, he shuts them up and says “if you can’t all take turns like reasonable adults, I am going to treat you like children. We are going to use a talking stick to have this conversation. You cannot speak if you are not holding the talking stick; if you want to speak, raise your hand and ask for the talking stick politely. This is the talking stick.” And he holds up the Darksaber.
They’re all furious, of course, but he just turns on a loud noise or alarm or something until they shut up again. And then he hits them with the kicker: “I have the Darksaber, so I am the only one allowed to speak. If you want to speak... you have to take it from me.”
Finally, he will be rid of the curse that is being Mandalore! ....except that every single person there refuses to fight him for something that is now a talking stick. On the other hand, the idea has merit, so one of them insists that the Mandalore must always be able to speak, so the Darksaber can be his talking stick. But he should designate one for everyone else to pass around, because clearly, no one else can be trusted to be reasonable (cue several pointed glares).
Din just sighs in defeat and designates one of his knives as the other talking stick. It’s surreptitiously replaced a few meetings later with a fancy looking but functional beskar dagger, and people forget to be offended by it because, well, it does work, you know-
The little tradition becomes almost ceremonial and everyone starts to casually use it for all important conversations with a number of people, and before long it starts to catch on as a respectable method of mediation, and beskar blades become a staple of negotiation etc.
Din is horrified yet resigned, and grudgingly grateful for how much easier it is to talk to groups of people. Boba loses his fucking shit laughing.
Too bad this hotel is so far from my house.😩 Good to know they were in town.
I have been playing around with the “Painting” rendering option lately.
Swampy went to class last night as a "talking stick"
