Hope you feel better soon, CC! Regarding the W&K wedding, my favorite parts were Kate getting out of the car and the music/when Kate walked down the aisle. I loved the way the viel looked and the iconic wave she gave when she got out the car and seeing the crowd made the moment feel more grandeur, especially from an American perspective. I also loved the music Kate walked down too. It just makes you feel good and the people awe-ing at her dress when she walked down made it more magical.(PT1)
Unlike H&M’s wedding where it was basically shoved down our throats and consistently fed to us that their wedding was revolutionary and important and historic, William and Kate’s actual felt that way to me without having it be said. The small/simple things like the car ride for example made you feel like “this was something important here”, this coming from the perspective of an American who doesn’t really have a history of watching royal weddings much at the time. (PT2)
The small sentimental things were nice too. Like Harry looking back when Kate was walking down, seeing the crowds when Kate was driven to the Abbey, the amazing overhead shots and photography they had for example the tons of people running to BP/KP? for the balcony moment, or even the small little details with the bouquet and etc all added to the day and made it feel nice and sort of a special moment in history watching from America. (LAST PART)
Thank you for the good wishes TT! :) Oh, that moment she stepped out of the car. Everyone was waiting with bated breath to see what the dress looked like and who the designer would be. In the end none of that really mattered because it was a joyous moment. Iconic, like you said. And yes, the music! So happy and light, yet grand. It was just perfect.

When Kate saw the massive crowds from the balcony and went “wow!”
It really felt like something important and solid, and rooted in tradition yet forward-looking was happening. The vibe was just so… comforting and joyous. I feel like their relatonship, their family, and hopefully William’s reign will bring the same amount of comfort, stability and joy to Britain and to people who follow their lives.
