Far-West hero created by pulp writer Albert Bonneau in 1929. First published at Tallandier in their “Grandes Aventures & Voyages Excentriques” collection, Catamount would have his own series after WW2.
Les Aventures de Catamount - 32 issues [1947-1950]
Les Nouvelles Aventures de Catamount - 34 issues [1952-1958]
It is not easy to find one’s way through all the different editions, issues, reissues, new covers, rebroachings of “Catamount”’s adventures. [plus: at Tallandier, nothing is easy to classify] - here: reproductions of two titles printed in 1949.
Albert Bonneau wrote all kind of stories, did not privilege one genre for another, but among the french pulp writers from the era (1930′s/1950′s) he is probably the one who wrote the greatest part of the published westerns.
