This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened, every now and then he would be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or he would piss someone off- or he would get caught doing one of his jobs. The latter being what had happened to him last night causing cuts to his face and bruises all over his body along with sore ribs, “Does looking like this entitle me to a free meal or coffee?”

Sebastian made a disgusted face. “What the hell kind of sound is that? It sounds like a cat is dying.”

“That’s hilarious actually,” Dorothy said through bright laughter. “What did you do next?”

Ariel let out a small but tiring breath as she sat on top of the wall she had just climbed, sitting her bag beside her she looked down letting out a low whistle before seeing someone walk by. “Think fast!” She shouted, throwing her bag down in hopes that they would catch it. She herself then jumped down, wobbling slightly as she rested her hand on their shoulder with a smile. “Thanks for that, I guess you walked by at the best moment for me.”

Adam waited patiently for his turn in the coffee shop line. He glanced around the establishment, not being used to getting his coffee outside of the house. But this morning he was in a rush, as he had a meeting in about half an hour and, unsurprisingly, his nerves were getting the best of him. He could already see it going wrong in a thousand different ways. His eyes caught the unwavering stare among the morning crowd and raised an eyebrow. “Is there a problem?”
