“Dude, chill, I’m recovering from a cold. I don’t have the plague.”
“Can I get you something? Maybe I can help somehow.”
ctrl-charlotte:
“Well most people I know who live here were born here. I was. My daddy’s great, great, great grandfather moved here and started up the family company. Something to do with the land or something. So I was born here and I don’t know very many people who weren’t.”
“That’s incredible! Your family history sounds incredibly inspiring. Do you think that you and your sisters will all stay here and carry on that legacy?”
hislittlewendybird:
“Hardy Har, very funny.” Wendy laughed at Dot’s teasing. Wendy started to walk with Dot, skipping almost as she was excited now that she was able to get something to eat finally. “Great! Why we are there, I can show you my latest painting if you want! I just finished it.”
“I’d love that!” Dorothy beamed. She loved seeing her friend’s works. Dot was pretty much the epitome of a supportive friend and pretty much loved anything her friend made. “I’m still waiting for you to paint the Mona Dorothy,” she added jokingly, sticking her tongue out playfully.
workingtiana:
Tiana scoffed. “Tell that to the dicks of the world.”
“I’d try my best but I doubt they’d listen to someone like me.”
workingtiana:
Tiana tilted her head at the girl’s innocent. “Darlin’, you’ll have to deal with assholes everywhere. That’s just the way of the world.”
“That’s horrible,” Dorothy frowned. “We only have one life and one earth, we should love one another. I mean come on, nobody likes an asshole.”
workingtiana:
Tiana shrugged. “When you’ve been at it as long as I have, you learn to grow a thick skin.”
“I guess that does make sense,” she agreed. “Although I doubt it, I sure hope I won’t have to deal with people like that when I work at a veterinary clinic someday.”
workingtiana:
“I just hung up on them. They tried calling me four times after that, but I didn’t pick up.” Tiana shrugged. “It takes two to tango, and I’m an excellent dancer, so.”
“I wouldn’t have the guts to do that,” Dot admitted, “I’d probably call them right back and apologize. Damn, you’re badass.”
hislittlewendybird:
Wendy let out a chuckle at Dot’s enthusiasm. Perhaps that’s what she loved the most about her. “I dunno, that Chinese place sounds interesting as I haven’t been there yet.” Wendy looked at her car and then back at her close friend with a smile. “We can even walk there! I rather not drive at the moment.”
“Perfect!” Dorothy smiled, laughing at Wendy’s remark. “Yeah, walking is healthier anyways. Besides, I can’t get you out if I’m stuck in the car with you,” she teased. “Let’s go then!”

“That’s hilarious actually,” Dorothy said through bright laughter. “What did you do next?”
arielsxtriton:
Ariel smiled as she thought about the garden, about how she thought it possessed some kind of magical qualities and how the house seemed to call to her adventurous side, making her want to go and explore it even more. “We will, I’ll be sure to take you next time I go over the wall- we’ll put your climbing skills to the test.”
“I can’t wait,” Dorothy grinned. “Remind me to bring a first aid kid, because knowing me I’m going to have to take a few attempts before I master my climbing skills.”
the-kristoffbjorgman:
“It’ll be a whole cycle of carrying one another.” He chuckled, knowing that if she had tried to lift him in the way he had with her, well- it wouldn’t have gone well. Kristoff nodded and disappeared to only return a moment later with the others bag. “There you go. I’ll just go let someone know that I’m taking you home so they can take over the walk this afternoon then we can go, okay?”
“Good idea,” she agreed with a nod. “I won’t be going anywhere,” Dorothy added with a slight chuckle as Kristoff disappeared to tell another employee he was taking her home.
hislittlewendybird:
Wendy chuckled at her friend’s teasing. It was extremely embarrassing to be known as the girl who locks herself in the car however Dot made Wendy feel much better about the predictement. “Of course I will, mom.” Wendy playfully rolled her eyes at Dorothy’s lecturing. “Can we please get something to eat now? I can literally eat a horse right now.” Wendy joked.
Rolling her eyes playfully at Wendy’s comment, she lit up at the mention of food. “Of course! Nothing would make me happier,” Dorothy beamed. “Where do you wanna go grab a bite? Godfrey’s? McDonald’s? That Chinese place two blocks away? Somewhere else?”
taron-kapila:
“I tend to… forget where I put things, sometimes.” Taron said, chuckling under his breath. “It’s a curse, I think.”
“Oh it’s okay -- I’m prone to being clumsy 24/7 so I feel like your forgetfulness is totally relatable. Besides, it ain’t easy being organized. At least I don’t find it easy,” she chuckled in return.
ctrl-charlotte:
“Yeah but why here? It’s such a small town, it seems a rather random and specific choice.”
“If you think about it, how does anybody end up here? It’s nothing like New York or Los Angeles -- you know, famous cities everybody’s heard about. It feels like Talle Hollow’s a tiny speck on a giant map.”
ctrl-charlotte:
“Wow, Kansas. That’s quite a different place compared to here, isn’t it?” Charlotte said, “Why did you come here instead of stay there?”
“Definitely,” Dorothy nodded. Then, obviously confused, she tilted her head to the side. “I just told you. My aunt and uncle couldn’t take care of me so I was sent away to Talle Hollow. My memories of Kansas are fuzzy, I mainly remember my time in the orphanage here.”
taron-kapila:
“I’m just lucky I even found it in the first place.” He said, shaking his head at his dumb luck. Normally, he wouldn’t have found it and he would have lost all of his belongings inside of the wallet.
“I’m guessing this doesn’t happen much? Or are you prone to losing things?”
