I just wanted to say how much I love this blog (and actuallycute/notactuallycute too!). It's helped me become a much better and more informed dog owner, and I know my pup is happier and healthier because of that. Thank you for all you do!

tamsindennis replied to your post: ugh there was a stabbing in tel aviv t...
He went onto a bus and stabbed 12 civilians. I’d say that’s terrorism. It’s terrorism when white people do it too.
I didn't say it isn't terrorism, but I do think we have to be careful about terminology. It's too easy to call palestinians terrorists when they attack people and we don't know their motives.
once we've got his motives, that's a different story.
terrorism is a very specific thing--it's about using fear to further an ideology or political movement, and so we can't just say someone stabbing a bunch of people is terrorism just because a palestinian man in israel did it. because the last time i checked, which was this morning to be fair, that was really the only evidence people had for it being terrorism.
just because netanyahu is saying it's terrorism doesn't mean it actually is.
that doesn't make it less terrible, btw. it's still grotesque, and hamas saying it was heroic is gross and counterproductive. but that's hamas for you.

six random facts about myself
I was just tagged by jamie, aka allrightfine, so voila!
1. I am a damn good singer. I got all the solos in school lmao. (No but really, it was singing and writing for me, and writing was the most profitable of the two).
2. I am the first of my grandparents' grandchildren, but my dad is their youngest son. Oop.
3. Sailor Moon was my first fandom. Pokemon was a close second.
4. My favorite book is The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Absolutely changed my life. But my favorite authors are JKR and Simone St. James.
5. I stopped eating most meats when I was 15 or 16, but I still ate fish until I was 17. I went to Japan, had fish there and realized there was no reason to keep eating fish in the US. It just couldn't compare.
6. Speaking of places I've been: Japan, England, France, Canada, Spain, Italy, St. Lucia, the Bahamas, St. Maartin, Mexico. Next on my list? Probably nothing because I'm broke and my parents aren't likely to foot the bill.
ALRIGHT. I tag goldcaught, ohmypreciousgirl, queerdoms, burningupasun and tamsindennis.
tamsindennis replied to your post:Can you explain moonshine to me a little? Like does it always taste the same? Are people really making it in their basements and such? Could I go to a store and buy moonshine? I'm grew up in the Mid Atlantic area and always thought moonshine was a tradition that had mostly died out.
butterscotch moonshine is my fave. yummmmmm.
I've never had that one! that sounds good
